Thistlestar looked down at his clan with pride. It was growing. Although they had only one queen and kit, he knew that greenleaf would bring more. The tom looked up at the cloudy sky. Only Starclan knows what happens next. At that moment, Ternleaf climbed up the rock he was standing on. He turned to her. The medicine cat looked down. "Starclan has not spoken to you in a long time, Ternleaf. Do you think-" He was cut off. "No, Thistlestar." She looked up at him. "Starclan have not abandoned us."

Thistlestar rose from his comfortable nest with surprise. Why would he have a dream of the conversation he had last night with Ternleaf? Maybe it was their way of telling him she was right. The tom padded out of his den and sat at the edge of the highrock, watching his clan.

Sunpaw peeked open her blue eyes, looking around the apprentice den quietly. The silence was calming, with the bird song filtering in with the sunlight. Sunpaw padded out into the clan clearing at a steady, almost cautious pace. Blinking up at the beautiful sky, she then sat in a shaded corner, watching the rest of the clan.

Curled up in his nest, the soft white tom was still asleep. He was oblivious to his sister's gentle prodding as she poked his side.

Aspenfrost sighed. It was no use. Her brother would eventually wake up, but Aspenfrost always encouraged the idea of getting up bright and early. She left the warrior's den and looked around at who was awake. With a nod to Thistlestar, the she-cat entered the forest to hunt; prey at dawn were usually abundant.
