Charlie lifted up a finger, flames reflected in her dark eyes in, kind of like they do in action movies. Her eyes were watering from the sheer heat of the flames.
"It's pointless," She said. "Suicide going in there. Whatever is doing this... no way this is normal fire..."
She watched she small figure inside for a while longer.
"Besides," She said darkly, "If it's not a monster, it's dead already."

Charlie raised a hand to shield her eyes, staring at the flames.
"No, definitely not... " She coughed.
She grabbed the younger woman's arm, pulling her back to the parking lot and to breathable air, panting.
"Might as well save our lungs, if we can't stop it for now..." She explained.

"Uh-huh..." Charlie nodded. She picked up her coffee again, taking a sip and actually enjoying the now totally cold liquid after the extreme heat.
"You okay?" She asked, before finding a flash of (holy) water on her belt. "Here, this can probably help a bit."

"Whatever you say," Charlie said, turning back towards the burning building. "Wonder how many people died in there just now. Also..."
She squinted at the building, cocking head to the side and taking a step forwards, "If I'm right-- and I'm always right, by the way, the building should have taken a lot more damage. It's not collapsing on itself, and it really should be by now. It's like we're in a cartoon or video game or something, it's just on fire but not even blackening. There still is smoke, which is weird and illogical."

Charlie followed her gaze, watching as the fire suddenly went out as though it was never there, the gas station staying in one piece.
"You got that right," She muttered, walking inside to see the interior unharmed but a few charred corpses on the ground, "You got that right."
