Finny sighed, leaving her now un-gloved hands swinging at her sides. She started walking back to the school, careful to keep her gloves shielded from any more damage. She could feel a small electric charge still coming from the gloves, which made her nervous that they would electrocute her.

Clara Grainger
Clara continued reading for a while. A few pages later, she checked her small gold watch. Clara groaned, seeing that classes were starting in a few minutes. Something she hated almost as much as algebra and crowds was being late. Clara threw her sweater on, thanked the waitress, and walked out the door. Clara made sure not to slip in a puddle as she headed back to school - one fall was enough for the day. Clara wondered if she would encounter Jace or Finny again. Or maybe they just think I'm a freak. Everyone else does, after all.

Jace Parker; 16; outside;
When Jace reached the school he walked in the front door and went straight for his locker. He made sure to keep and eye out for Clara and Finny. He wasn't sure whether or not they would ask him more questions and it made his nervous just thinking about. He opened his locker and exchanged his books. "Ugh, I got coffee on my physics book." he grumbled and shoved it into the back of his locker. "Oh well." he sighed and walked off to his next class. Gym.

"You're a genius." he joked and leaned back, holding both hands behind his head as he relaxed. More kids being to spill into the gym as the lunch period got closer to ending. Jae tried to ignore their obnoxious talking and glanced at Kaiya to make sure she was ok.

She tilted her head, as he said that and blinked, looking at him"hm..? " she was about ask about it. But as the thought crossed her mind, she froze as more kids began to come into the locker room to get ready for . As the number of kids increased she bit her lip".. if I start to freaking out, and my powers suddenly get out of control.. do what you have to help me get them under control.. even if it comes to hitting me.. I've had to do that a few times.." she told him, before more kids came into the locker room.

"Powers?' Jae questioned, searching her eyes for an answer. "What do you mean powers?" he asked, suddenly sitting up and looking at her closely. Was she like him? No. What he had wasn't common. She was different.

"Seriously?!" he asked in disbelief. He wasn't surprised at what she could do, he was surprised that she could even do it in the first place. She wasn't human, just like him. This was the first time he had ever met anyone who was in the same boat as him. "Well, if you don't think you're going to be ok then sit out."

Clara opened her locker, shoving her sweater inside and retrieving her books. Clara checked her schedule - gym next. Gym was not her favourite subject. Clara'd take algebra any day over the public humiliation of Phys. Ed. She couldn't catch a basketball or score a goal in soccer. She wound up with more injuries than points most days. Clara groaned and walked to the gymnasium, eyes narrowed.

She nods "yeah.. but.. unless you want pass out asleep, don't be near me when the mist begins to form around me.. " she said".. if I get really scared, nervous or both.. I'll end not human, and changed forms.. " she told him. She wasn't sure how she was being so open with him, but it just seemed like the natural thing to do, with him.

Jace walked into the gym, smiling and waving as some kids greeted him. His eyes wandered around the large gymnasium and they widened when he spotted Clara. He cursed under his breath and stealthily found a bench to sit on, on the bleachers.
