Vik sighed. "Okay. I'll stay."

Jayden jumped awake when he heard Aidan.

"You promised!" Bella cried. "You promised..."

Aidan got up and walked out. It was his way of coping.

Dimka sat down, burying his face in his knees.

Jayden sighed.

Nijoel started getting fussy as he woke up. He was still having trouble breathing at a normal rate, but he screamed and screamed.

Jesse held him. "Shh, baby. Shh," he crooned.

Nijoel settled against Jesse. He was cold since his blood circulation was still bad because the cord had cut it off. He was still working to stay warm.

Bella looked at her dad still upset.

Jesse grabbed a blanket and swaddled him.

Dimka rubbed his face.

Nijoel kept crying trying to warm up.

Bella sighed. "Just leave. You don't want to be in here anyway," she said. "You already walked out when I wanted you here!"

Dimka sighed. "I'm sorry. I couldn't see you like that, Bella. After you had him, you collapsed and I though you died. I was nintey-nine percent sure you were dead."
