Ian strolled down to the park near the school, looking around every once and a while to assure he was not lost in this new place. His fingers tapped slightly on the strap of his back pack, pursing his lips as he looked for a place to sit. Soon enough he found a bench and he sat himself down, his gaze shifting to the people passing him. Ian took the camera from around his neck and held it in his hands, then carefully but hastily put it in his pack.

Jace Parker; 16; at school; with Finny
Jace pulled his blue jacket off and folded it onto the seat beside him. "Do you like french fries?" he asked, resting his elbows on the table. "I'm sort of craving them." Jace's eyes traveled to his pocket and he pulled his wallet from his pants to make sure he brought enough money with him. "I'm paying." he told her and put his wallet right back into his front pocket

"Yeah you." Jae answered with a slight roll of the eyes. "Are you lost?" he asked, already knowing what her answer would be. He slowly stood up and brushed his bright colored bangs out of his eyes. Jae shoved his hands into the pockets of his hoodie and blinked a few times as raindrops fell onto his pale cheeks.

She nodded a bit, at his question as she looked at him"...yeah..I am." She said, as a few raindrops fell on her head. She wasn't bothered by it much, being used to rain. But the cold would soon get to her, if the rain got worse"..I'm..kinda new.. just got here..er.. more like..just dumped here" she said, muttering the last few words.

She perked up and nodded. "Yep! French fries are fine." Her gloves had been shoved to the side now, tucked away in the corner of the table. "You make it sound as if we're going on a date." She chuckled, nudging his leg with her foot.

"A date?" Jace repeated her words, looking at her with innocent eyes. "Eh-haha. I guess you could call it that. A lunch date." he said and tapped his fingers on the hardwood of the table. "Or just two friends eating together." he smiled, hoping he could actually acknowledge her as his new friends. When the waitress came to their table he straightened up and gave her his order. "One thing of french fries, a medium hazelnut coffee with lots of cream, and...." he trailed off and looked to Finny as if asking her what she wanted.

Jae huffed under his breath and looked Kaiya up and down. "Well first, it's lunch time. So you came a little late. Second, do you have a schedule or anything?" he asked, his brown eyes seeming to be voicd of any readable emotions.

She covered her mouth to stifle a laugh before speaking. "Yes, friends. The 'I don't like rain' club." She turned to the waitress when she came to the table and began to speak immediately after Jace trailed off. "Same thing as him, replace the coffee with an espresso, por favor."

Jace nodded and the waitress left their table after writing their order down. "Yup. No rain for us." he said and watched the rain streaking down the cafe window. "So, new friend, is there anything else you would like to tell me about yourself before we become official buds?" he asked in a joking-like tone. "You're not secretly a murderer, or some evil mastermind are you?"

Finny leaned forward so that her chin was resting on her arms. "Mmm..nope. I'm most certainly not a murderer or evil mastermind. I'd say more about myself, but there's not much to say." She resumed swinging her feet, staring at Jace. "What about you? Anything else I need to know?"

She glanced up, seeing some other, older students from her school. Clara debated whether or not to greet them, and decided against it. She buried her head in her book, vaugely lonely, killing time before lunch ended.
