Jace took one look at her hand and he looked down at the ground. "No need to show me." he said thinking about the burns he had on his own body. "Let's just make sure you keep them safe then." he said with a smile and he tugged her close to him, leaning the umbrella more to her side. "Let's hurry~" he cheered and walked on to the cafe.

She walked onto the school grounds, holding the strap of her messenger bag, that hung from one shoulder, against her chest. Her blue green eyes glanced around a bit nervously, as she bit her lip and stopped beside a tree. She would kneel down, an open her bag to take out a slip of paper, and stood up again, her eyes looking at the paper she held in her hand.

She shoved her hand back into her glove and nodded, choosing to stay silent for a little bit. She pulled up the hood of her jacket, retreating into a sort of shelter, as if the rain couldn't get to her. Finny attempted to match his strides, but failed ultimately as she was shorter than him. "Jeez, how do you people walk so fast?"

Jace stifled a laugh and shook his head. "Sorry. I didn't choose to be this tall." he joked and slowed down the tiniest bit so he could keep up with Finny's pace. As they walked on the sidewalk he carefully avoided the people walking around them and did his best to keep both Finny and his self dry. "Here we are!" he announced when they neared the cafe on the corner. "See. Not far at all." he said, pushing the door open for her to enter first.

Jae Kim; 17; outside of the school; alone
Jae sat alone on a bunch in the courtyard of the school, planning on taking a short nap in the free period he had. Which was lunch. The tree that hovered over the bench kept him somewhat sheltered from the rain. With a sigh he flipped his black hood over his bright orange hair and laid back. The raindrops felt cold against his equally as icy skin and he closed his eyes.

She walked further across the schoolgrounds, one hand holding the strap of her bag against herself. She was confused, having realized now, that she was lost, and bit her lip again"..great..I hate getting lost" she said softly to herself

"So cruel, you tall people." Finny chuckled, widening her strides slightly. As soon as they reached the cafe, she darted inside, slipping her hands out of her gloves. "Wonderful, sweet, sweet respite of not electrocuting myself every five seconds."

When Jace entered he closed the umbrella and found a booth by the window to sit at. He set the umbrella and his bag on the floor underneath the table and he raked his fingers through his brown hair. "So, what are you hungry for?" he asked, looking at the cafe's front counter and then Finny. The sweet scent of coffee filled his nose and he breathed out in delight.

Jae opened one eye when he heard Kaiya's voice. He sighed and tried to get more comfortable on the bench. He wanted to help her out, but he would rather just get some sleep. Or.... did he? With another sigh he sat up, dropped his hood, and stretched his limbs. "Hey, you." he called out, yawning slightly.

She plopped down across from him and swung her legs, resting her elbows on the table. "Nothing much. I've never been here, so I have absolutely no idea what they serve other than coffee." Finny looked a little childish, propping up her face solely with her hands.

She blinked, and lowered her hand, that held the paper as she heard a voice. Her head turned, after realizing the voice was a young boys voice at that. As her eyes found Jae, the hand that held the stepped against herself, tightened a bit"..hmm..? U..um.. me?" She asked, wondering if it was her he'd spoken to or someone else in what appeared to be the main grounds of the school.
