Finny rocked back and forth on her heels as Jace spoke, staring at him. She had a habit of vacantly staring at somebody, and a lot of people got freaked out by it. "Great. I'm all for caffeine, it's the only thing that keeps me awake at this point." She set a grin on her face, slinging the messenger bag that she always carried onto her shoulder. "My umbrella's just at my locker, I'll grab it when we're going by."

"Ok cool, let's go~" Jace cheered happily and headed out the door of the classroom, looking back to make sure that Finny was following him. There were lots of kids roaming the halls and he carefully maneuvered his way through them, letting out an occasional 'excuse me' as he went. His stomach growled multiple times and he held his hand over it every time it did. "Gosh I love lunch." he said, out loud without even noticing and then gently patted his stomach.

She shook her head, smiling, and trod after him in a much more melancholy manner. After reaching her locker, she caught up to Jace and held out the umbrella that was now clutched in her hand. "Here. I still don't know why you need it so badly, but here." She scuffed her feet on the ground and giggled slightly at his words. "I'm sure you do, Jace."

Jace took the umbrella from her and examined it shortly. "Thank you so much!" he thanked her and patted her shoulder to show his gratitude. "All right. I'll lead the way." he announced and walked to the front doors of the school. Before exiting he looked up at the rainy sky and opened the umbrella cautiously. "Ok, let's not get wet~" he murmured and stepped outside, holding the umbrella's handle in his one hand. "Here." he made room for her and smiled. "Its not far from here."

As soon as they exited the sheltered area of the school, she shoved her hands in her pockets. This didn't, however, stop the small electric charge running through her hands, making her wince slightly. The gloves malfunctioned when wet, so she didn't really know what was about to happen. Any number of things could occur, like her accidentally levitating rocks in the air, which had happened once. "O-okay." She winced again as another electrical charge ran through her hands.

"Are you feeling alright?" Jace asked shyly, stopping and looking Finny up and down. "Do you have a headache?" he asked, oblivious to her hands. "You were wincing so I just thought....." he trailed off.

She bit her lip and shook her head. "No, my gloves are mostly electric based. Even one drop of water can damage them, send electrical charges up my hands and arms." She slipped one hand out of a glove and held it out, displaying the numerous scars and burns running across it.
