@chihuahua.; hhh idk how to answer to this. i suppose i should just start off saying that, if you are honestly getting this distressed over a group of pixels then you probably need to take a step back from the computer and breathe a little bit. getting a plumerian isn't the end of the world, plus you //just now// got into the community, you aren't going to be assimilated right away. you need to get into streams and interact with others instead of posting a few times in the fc then throwing your hat down, the fc isn't the best method of actually making friends, just a way to share plumerian related things in all honesty. i know being a nonowner is frustrating because i was one too once, but i didn't just decide 'well screw it i lost a few times and i'm not popular' and stomp away, i waited for a opportunity i knew i had a chance at and i did my thing. even when i did streams as a nonowner i wasn't right away popular, and i'm still not, it's something you have to work for.

and in all honesty, i know this might be a bit of an unpopular opinion and it's not just directed to you, but to all more recent nonowners in general. posting in the fc your unhappiness or distress about not owning a plumerian will //not// help your chances in winning one, really. in fact i in my own personal opinion find guilt(?) trippy posts like these to be somewhat rude. everyone else who was a nonowner and is a owner now didn't get to throw the hat down and cry for people to come and baby them. you want a fair chance at a plume? then work hard for it instead of complaining in the fc. really there's no big secret to it, that's all there is.

in regards to the art and age thing, there are people who are like 12/13 (and if you're younger than that you technically should not be here as it's against us/cs laws but ok) who have plumerians, age has nothing to do with the ability to win a plumerian. neither does art? lots of contests are writing contests, gif contests, personality contests, naming contests, ect. i don't know why so many people get stressed over the actual art aspect of contests, because really it's not that prominent, there are plenty of non-art contests.

and i'm pretty sorry that that response got long, and like i said, it's not entirely directed to you, but to people in general who get that hopeless feeling. just calm down and go outside, they're //just// pixels, it won't kill you not to own one, and if it is, then you are becoming a bit too emotionally invested into the internet and need to get off for a bit.
