Yeah, they are very nice. <3 My cousin bought them for me, I didn't know they could turn out so beautiful!

Not really. At first I felt like I was handling 10 crocodiles, but with some help from my dad before I got used to it and I learned on my own. But sadly my white phalaenopsis orchid is not well, I don't know what to do and it's one of my newest ones, poor darling! :c

@Pagan Min yes!! I hoarded those for a brief time and had quite a lot before i stopped hoarding. Cordyceps are awesome. I love how you showed the variation of the fungi in your pets ;o;

Hey, oh my goodness, I'm so sorry that I let this thread die a little.

bioluminescent plants are hella cool, you've probably seen, but scientists are trying to do something which would enable trees to glow in the dark and then the trees could be used as alternatives to street lamps. It would be so cool if that happened in my lifetime, I'd really love to see a glow-in-the dark tree.


I remembered this thread mostly because I'm soon going to be able to get my own plants, they will hopefully be succulents. I'm really hopeful for a cactus and aloe vera. But, since cactus is a pretty broad generalisation, I was hoping I could get some advice on a species best suited for beginners. {I have plenty of time to dedicate to them but I really want to make sure I'm not gonna screw up and make myself bitter about gardening because I've bitten off more than i can chew.}
