I'm becoming more scared to pos tmy oponions because I know an argument about the character is going to rage on. Anyway, awhile back, when I was watching random Warriors series on YouTube, this random video played, and, it had an apprentice, and older apprentices that we're like, we're better then you because we we're older. And the new apprentice is just like, oh yeah, well Imma show you that I'll be that best Warrior ever..

Well, I like Ashfur. I mean, yes, I agree to many points you all make about him that are negative, but I'll always like him in general. I don't like him when he threatned to kill Leafpools kits, but, I'm not that suprised he went to StarClan, and I agree with Yellowfang.

For me, it isn't so much that he was a villain, it was that he was a villain out of almost nowhere after a long arc of being an upstanding cat. He suffered a lot of loss in his life, and was generally friendly to others so the suddenly going crazy and attempting to murder the leader and three innocent cats because someone didn't love him is so out of left field, it's insane.

You just described what I dislike about Ashfur. A generally good and kind cat becoming so dang insane for "love" is waaaaaayy OOC.
I swear, the Erins take so much inspiration from bad fics. From mary-sues to OOCness.

A fair point. One of the unfortunate bits of fiction is that it's got its own weird rules that make something that might happen int he real world considered unacceptable in a story, unless you have a crazy talented writer.

To take your example, someone may be altered drastically by a divorce or rejection, and that has happened before, but in fiction, it wouldn't fly. Ashfur would have had to show signs early on that he's not mentally sound, or terrible at handling rejection, or even just manipulated by Hawkfrost to make us believe that he would do those things.

Plus, to be fair, attempted murders aren't really considered normal effects of rejection. I think I'll be able to better explain my point once I get to the books, though.

Unrelated, but if you're reading this, can you go back on a few random posts and make sure that the pictures I uploaded are showing up? They aren't appearing for me, and I'm a little concerned.

A lot of the images don't show up for me in the older posts. All of the text images are gone up until more recent posts, I believe, and many of the reaction images are as well.

Oh, at the mini manga at the end of Bramblestar's Storm, Yellowfang tells Squirrelflight that she actually isn't barren and that she had told her so she would take care of Leafpool's kits. More lame plot excuses!

The cats should be punished so much more for forbidden relationships and whatnot.

Leafpool: Becomes a warrior instead of a medicine cat, hated by her kids but forgiven in a few moons

Yeah, that's why I think that the first code gets stepped over so much. Because cats don't tend to get punished very hard when they break it.

But I want to mention that your images near and around page 5 (currently reading up so yeah...Catching at these as I go) are broken and not showing and I'm missing a lot of context when you're taking about them...If these can be fixed that would be great. But whatever if not. Just a heads up.
