Lola flinched in surprise when Jason reached out to touch her tail. She wanted in anticipation, watching him closely for a reaction. Why wasn't he saying anything? Was he freaking out? Was he going to tell everyone? The questions swirled in her mind and made her nervous. "I am- that's why I couldn't go to the fair." She responded, gesturing to her tail. The mermaid felt somewhat relieved that she had told him her secret. Now she had to trust him not to tell anyone. She could have destroyed her whole species by telling him this secret. Did she make the right decision? "I'm sorry for lying to you, but you should understand why I did it." She added, glancing down at her tail before peering over at Jason with her blue eyes. "Promise me you won't tell anyone?" She asked, a small frown forming on her lips.

"I don't mind. Go for it." Thomas insisted, giving a faint smile. After a few minutes of sitting there, he had calmed down from the previous argument. He ran his fingers through his hair, watching Carla become excited over seeing another human wanting to pet her. She always loved new people and enjoyed the affection.
