There's a FCFS to non-owners up and two open contest regular adoptables, all looking for love!

I will be holding a artist contest here soon for one or two artists. I'll be looking for people who really care about the species and are interested in developing it and really working with me on what we want to do with adopts, breeding, lineage, and so on.

I want to make this a bit...different?... than a typical adopt and would love to add some story to this, beyond the bits in the setting and being "Chosen" ^^ Now that you are important, and have these great horses, you need something to do with them or something else for you, the "character" to do. Like a campaign/event or something would be cool

Hmm... ideas, ideas.

First of all, to be involved, shows would be nice :D Like normal shows centered around things like coats and conformation, or little holiday festival things that could range from finding something on a thread to drawing a duck with bunny ears xD Placing in the show could win you points, which you could use to buy customs with. For example, a custom costs... 200 points, and you could win 50 or something from a show. That would be complicated though, keeping track of the points.

That's all I've come up with

Btw, when will the adoption for the palomino end?

I would be interesting in developing the fantasy world some more and looking at the potential for an RP perhaps? There could be a storyline to it working with the war mount aspect of the breed. It could start off with everyone making the backstory of why the king allowed them to be judged in the first place. Only thing with adopt roleplays is that literacy levels would vary a lot and it would be frustrating for anyone (myself included) if they posted large paragraphs with smaller responses and some people don't like to read long posts either. Everything has pros and cons, but I would like to see how the world these beautiful beings live in will develop.

Also I shall be keeping an eye out for any comps. I'll be all over them. xD

EDIT: Also reading the thing about your interest in doing something with lineage, maybe there could be something like some lines are breeding for coat, others for temperament, and some to be war mounts? Though it might be hard to do the last two unless there was a system in place to make a horse more or less of certain temperaments and skills, probably skill point based but also a bit complicated. 8/ Colour lines could also be split for lineages that go for one specific mutation maybe?

Shows would be cool. I'm not sure I have time to run them, but I am willing to organize some things ^^. I'm not a fan of point systems, mostly because like you said, they can be difficult to keep track. As for how customs work, I want to be sure that I offer the chance as frequently as possible to those who don't yet have a custom. Beyond that, I'm not sure XD Likely though "design your own" or some other form of contest that will have long open windows. Also,I want people to be able to nomination other users for customs or special breeding or the like. This will be the primary way of getting customs beyond your first.

Yeah, RP can be tough. I would support any RPs people what to make with Tarvaliers, but I don't have the time to run them. I'm more than willing to help work on the world/initial story and setting for anyone who wants to start one.

Lineage-wise, I'd at least like to keep track of it personally, just to see how everything works out? I'm not sure, but you've given me some things to tink about, Stumpy. I don't want to limit people with which horses they breed with each other(unless they are related) so I'm not sure. Maybe make challenges for each horse to pass a specific gene to at least one offspring and so on? Idk, thoughts for another time.

NEWS!
I am workshoping two new genes! One is related to Banding, that is sort of becoming the Tarvalier trademark, I guess? It is called Fill. And the other is a new marking called Marble! I will make some adopts with examples of both of these genes in a few days(hopefully) so you can have a better idea of what they look like, but in the meantime, let me know what you think about them and any other additional marking genes you would like to see. (Still considering those mane/tail gene ideas too, don't worry ^^)
