Pallon smiled and nodded. "It's ok." He hopped out of the saddle and led Balon.

Tai'vil seemed to calm down some. "Thank you..."

Rin just shook her head and smirked. She turned her back to the side and saw all of the villagers warily eyeing their surroundings. "They know something's going on".

Tai'vil nodded. "Of course they do. The man on the big grey horse that's supposed to be leading them isnt in the lead, and they all know that this way leads to the plains and what has been going on there."

"Or they're afraid of the deranged male who had to be harnessed to his horse for everyone's safety" Rin smiled playfully.

Tai'vil half laughed. "That's a possibility"

Rin smiled and continued to glance at the shifting landscape until her sight rested on Pallon.

Pallon walked silently. It seemed the further they got into the war zone the more on edge he was, and the more he resembled a fearless Alenthi soldier from the front lines. His gait had even changed to appear more war-like and commanding.

Rin admired him from atop Balon. He had changed from an innocent and playful man, to a warrior in a matter of minutes, and she respected him for it. Not every man can distinguish his emotions. Which brought her gaze back to her cousin. She giggled a little.

Tai'vil looked at her with a raised brow. "What's so funny?"

"Oh, nothing of importance" Rin feighned ignorance and glanced to his halter.
