On the run (Accepting)

Naomi looked at her a moment, before looking back to Adrian. "Should I take my leave then?" The girl asked, not wanting to intrude. She scrambled to her feet, looking up at everyone around her. She hated being short. She was just fine with being younger, but she really hated being short. It made her look two years younger than she was to some people. Her mind was mostly flooding again, mainly with thoughts on helping Alex. It was her job, after all. "Um, might I ask how she was injured?" The girl spoke again, seeing as how she was the lead medic.

Clarity's words instantly caught Adrian's attention. So they were like the rest of them here. He wondered for a moment if they had only came for assistance to Alex's injury, or they really wanted to join. He took note of the change in her eye color, interested though didn't comment. Figuring they could sort that out later, he gave a curt nod, his eyes moving to the girl who was apparently injured. Looking her over, he tried to locate what was wrong along with possibilities on how it had happened. He was about to question her on the subject, but Naomi beat him too it. It was probably better that way, as Adrian knew next to nothing on treatment of physical ailments. "Well it looks like you came to the right place, Naomi can help with that," he replied, bending down and picking up his map. After folding it into a small square, he returned it to a pocket in his bag, along with the highlighter. He didn't comment on her calling them abnormal. He was always wary of newcomers, worried that they may be some sort of spies from the industry. "I'm Adrian, the leader of our little group here," he added, realizing she had given him their names, but he had not done the same.

Clarity looked over at Naomi by following the sound of her voice, not making direct eye contact since she couldn't see. "We only just met, so I'm not sure exactly what happened to her. But I guess she can tell you herself," she replied. Then she let herself see through Jade's eyes again, her nervousness having diminished a little. Adrian she repeated in her mind as he told her his name. She briefly let her gaze wander to a couple of people in the warehouse, her eyes flashing different shades and colors before returning to Jade. "It's actually a larger group than I expected," she said. She couldn't help but feel a little surprised that they hadn't been found out yet. She decided that must mean Adrian knew what he was doing, which helped her relax more.


(Lots of people are just waking up and Clarity and Alex are talking to Adrian and Naomi on the roof)

Naomi nodded, taking a few steps to face Alex. "Hello, my name is Naomi. If you'd just show me what happened I can help." She said, smiling lightly. She collected her materials in her head, so that when she would go get them there would be no confusion as to where things were. She was at least glad that they seemed to realize that she wasn't just some little girl.

Clarity could feel her nerves beginning to get the better of her, and her vision flooded with darkness as the brown drained from her irises and was replaced by pale blue. Sometimes it was easier for her to be blind. Then she could almost forget about the people she was talking to and relax. "I'm Clarity, and this is Alex," she started by introducing them. "I heard about this place, although I've never really considered finding it before," she said truthfully. "But Alex needs medical assistance though, so I thought this was the best place to go. If what I heard was true, then I'm guessing you and the rest of the people here aren't... normal," she finished.

She nooded shyly "Umm, nice to meet you" she looked around not really knowing what to say, she couldn't still face the fact that her old life was over. She didn't know how these people lived but they looked well-organised. Even though the she had accepted the fact that she was "different" the other seemed a lot more confusing and more difficult to believe.

Adrian observed the two newcomers, though didn't make it obvious. He watched as Clarity's eyes seemed to flicker from color to color, assuming it had something to do with her power as it was far from normal. "Yes, we've actually gained quite a few members the past week or so," he commented as the girl spoke of the people here. Adrian recalled when it was first started up, with only him and one other male. They had big ideas, most seemingly impossible, but they stuck to them. Since then, his friend was captured by the industry, but they had made a promise to one another that they would continue with the group even in the absence of the other. So that's exactly what he had did. He had never spoken of that fact, but really, it was what drives him to continue each day. His motives were slightly more selfish than most people thought, he only wanted to get his friend back. If other good came from that, then great.
He frowned as Alex seemed to completely ignore what Naomi had said. He found it a bit rude, especially as they were all just trying to help her. "Naomi here is our medic, so I can assure you she knows what she is doing..." he spoke up, raising his eyebrows as he watched Alex. Perhaps she didn't even trust them enough to allow her to help her? But then again, that was the whole reason the two of them had come, wasn't it?

The though on Adrian's mind made her realize she hadn't answered Naomi's question though it was hard she tried to tell her the basics without many details, "Well, my brother and I were captured by the industry but I managed to escape thanks to my brother, that's basicly all" she oviously missed the part where his brother's chest was drilled by a bullet, she would not tell that to anyone, "anyone else" she remebered looking at Clarity, she was kind of frozen, standing there with nothing else she could or wanted to say, she looked at Naomi and added "I don't know what they did to me but when I woke up in the forest I felt horrible, I had a headache and I felt really dizzy" "And the horrible pain of losing my brother of course" she though to herself, her look was horribly painfull and she just wanted to forget everything "That's it, I'm dreaming, I'll wake up tomorrow and everything will be fine"

Clarity observed the view from the rooftop, thinking for a moment before turning to look at Adrian. "I think Alex was interested in joining your group," she said quietly. She had purposefully left out her own name, unwilling to become committed to anything before she'd had enough time to think properly. After being on her own for most her life she had grown comfortable with it. But she also had to admit to herself that it became lonely sometimes. Because of her parents she hadn't trusted anyone in a long time, and wasn't sure if she really ever would. At the thought of her mom and dad, anger filled her, but she kept her face blank. Why? She cried out silently. Then cleared the thought from her mind. This isn't the time.

Blaze stopped and sniffed the air. Emilia copied him. She smelt the faintest whiff of smoke. Hmm. Was there a forest fire? She walked closer to the smell and held her hand out, ready to create water to douse where-ever the fire was. Emilia walked over closer to the smoke, and saw that the ground was singed, but looked like it was in a shape of a footprint. There were more, and Emilia had a silent debate in her mind if she should follow them, and curiosity won. She looked up and saw a girl in the distance. Should she go over and say hello or throw a knife?
