"eighteen." she murmured, tilting her head slightly in curiosity. "and you?" she asked, shifting her position on the beach. She crossed her arm over her chest and hugged her other arm; the one with her boots in her hand. She gave him a small smile, still a bit wary of this stranger.

Kyler smiled. "Me too." Kyler said looking at her. "Do you want to play a game? So we could get to know eachother more?" He asked waiting for her to answer.

Adira was silent, watching her with great suspicion.Who was this girl? What was this girl? She glanced from her to the dolphin, a rather puzzled expression evident on her featured. "Um...nothing," she replied, frowning for a moment before forcing herself to put on an indifferent demeanor. "I was just heading to the island...what are you doing all the way out here?" she asked, attempting to find out more about this girl without being direct or obviously. Glancing again below the water to the colorful apparition, she tried to piece it all together. Perhaps she was wearing some sort of long skirt, though something told Adira that wasn't the case.

Jason tilted his head ever so slightly to the side, but gave a nod. "Yeah I swim occasionally, though I prefer fresh water." He replied, watching Kai as she lied her head down on the dock, clearly enjoying the attention. Her tail was hitting against the wooden surface as it wagged back and forth, creating a constant thumping noise. Although Jay did swim in the ocean quite often, or go out on his jet-ski, he disliked the saltiness of the water and enjoyed bodies of water like lakes and rivers a bit more. "Do you live around here? I don't recall ever seeing you." Jason knew almost all of the residents of Ashwick, or had at least seen them before as he's lived here almost all his life. It was not uncommon for visitors to occasionally show up, but it was odd to find one swimming user his dock.

Lola nodded in response, resting her chin on top of one of her arms. She could not swim in fresh water, but she knew what it was. She had much knowledge about the seas and bodies of water. She was a mermaid, after all. "Live around here? Oh, no. I only visit on occasion." She responded which was not too far from the truth. She lived somewhat around here, but it was in a coral reef in the water. She knew that the human would not understand this. "I'm on vacation." She responded, a faint smile on her lips.

Thomas laid on his stomach, watching the water underneath him. He saw a group of fish swim underneath him. Looking up, he watched Carla swim over to him and place her paws on the front of the board. He lifted his hand from the water and rubbed the top of the canine's head. Right now, the human felt extremely relaxed. The ocean water calmed him.

Adira simply nodded at her answer, thinking for a moment before asking another question. "And...what's she doing here?" She nodded slightly towards the dolphin with her head, indicating she was who she was speaking about. Even as this other girl was unusual to say the least, she had to realize this wasn't exactly normal. Far from it. The two seemed to know eachother, which was strange. The marine creatures never act like this in the wild. Adira glanced around, checking if anyone else was nearby, before back to the odd pair in front of her. There was nobody else in sight. She was interested in this girl, along with her dolphin friend. She shifted slightly on her board, moving so that her feet were hanging in the water, her oar still positioned in her lap.

"Are you staying with a friend, or perhaps family or something?" Jason questioned curiously, lifting one hand to run it down Kai's back, who had closed her eyes in content. The hound made a small noise from the back of her throat. Although it sounded like a quiet version of a growl, she had always done it when she was happy. Jay had asked because the closest hotel to here was about a thirty minutes drive away, and he didn't see someone coming all the way down here to take a swim when they could up there. Granted it wasn't too far away, the beaches down by the hotel were probably nicer.
