Dew winced, "W-wait, hunt? I-I don't know... We are killing the mice if we eat them," she hesitated, "Plus, we already at food, well I did anyway... the forest is scary!" she whimpered a little, blushing and feeling as if she sounded too weak. She wanted the older cats to know that she wasn't just a baby kitten anymore, she wanted to be like them. Should I go?

Bramble noticed the softened tone of the cat and began to relax and let his defense drop. He smiled and shook his head, "No, we don't stay here, but we have been sleeping near here for a few days. Yes, you are right, the birds are plumper here," he paused glancing up at the sky, "I apologize for my outburst, I tend to be over protective at times," he licked Echo's head and continued, "I can help you with the bird hunting if you don't mind!" his eyes gleamed as he flashed the cat one of his rare happy smiles. "By the way, my name's Bramble, and this little fella here is Echo." he licked his paw and gazed back up at the back cat.

Echo tilted his head, questioning Bramble what was going on. He decide he should just blend in and he smiled nervously.

jack purred and followed him in to the forest. opening his muzzle, he scented the sparrow once more, pinpointing it's location. he dropped down into a crouch, treading lightly, then leaping out and pinning the bird with one paw before finishing it with a bite to the neck. still near the fence, he shot a smug look at jay, shadow and dew. "told you I could do it,"

The black tom bowed slightly, thrilled that he actually didn't annoy the cats in front of him. It had been some time since he had a calm conversation. "Great to meet you! You can call me Delta, just your wandering rouge." He chuckled. "And if you really want to help with the bird catching, I'd be glad to accept." He smiled at Echo, marvelling at the little cat in from of him.

Bramble smiled and nodded. In the corner of his eye, he noticed one of the kitty pets hunting down a bird. Smirking a little, he felt as if it was a mini competition. Flicking his tail he nodded, "Alright! Show me your best shot!"

Echo
Echo started wandering off into his own imagination. This was a world where he could listen and talk to himself. He loved doing this whenever he though Bramble seemed boring, I wonder what it would be like if I could hear everything in this world... Snapping back to life, he rested his gaze back onto Delta and grinned.

Puffing out his chest, Delta put on a smug look. "If you insist! Watch and learn." He spotted a sparrow pulling at an insect just ahead, so he crouched down low and started to silently stalk towards it. In his head however, he was figuring out how to leap at the bird if it spotted him first. He was a good runner and a better swimmer...but jumping? Not his strong point. Focusing back on the bird, he bunched up his muscles and sprang to meet the bird as it tried to flee. With one paw he snagged it's wing and brought the bird back to earth, and a swift bite ended the hunt. "Yes!" He said, then realised he wasn't alone. He sheepishly looked back.

Bramble nodded approvingly, he almost felt like Delta was better than him! It was quite amazing, "Hmm, just a little tip, maybe try relaxing your muscles next time, don't have them too tensed, it's a little easier that way." he smiled and glanced over to Echo, realizing he had been too quiet today.

Echo began to think, so Bramble first met a cat, and they started talking, then the cat began to hunt, and now Bramble's talking. What in the world was going on? He then got it, maybe the cat was hunting and Bramble was helping the cat! At the start, they are introducing themselves! Echo's amber eyes lit up when he noticed Bramble staring at him. He cleared his throat and started licking his chest fur in embarrassment.

Picking up the bird, he trotted back and placed it down neatly. Once he had wiped his muzzle he nodded, "Doi really tense up too much?...I should be wary of that, thanks so much" He said with awe, knowing that there were things he still had to perfect. "Is your friend always this quiet? Never met such a quiet cat in my life" he flicked his tail curiously. "And he can have this bird if he wants, I'll happily catch another"

looking back over at dew, he nodded in understanding, before a smirk sneaked on to his features. "oh yeah, id forgotten that you were too young for this sort of older cat thing," he retorted calmly.

"Oh erm..." Bramble squirmed a little, and flashed Delta a nervous smile, "Well, Echo is, deaf.." he shuffled his paws and shook his head, "You caught it! It's okay," smiling he added, "I have taught him some basic hunting techniques," Bramble nodded and looked back at Echo with a hint of worry in his eyes.
