long ago,

a team of scientists brought

cats to the amazon for an

experiment. the cats were

treated like dirt, and eventually,

the experiment failed. the scientists

fled like frogbrains, leaving the cats

behind. We are those cats, young trespasser.

If you join, we'll teach you our ways. it won't

be easy, with predators and twolegs.

but will you face your destiny?

Here, you see our hunting grounds. I can already smell the hostile piranhas! See that golden monkey?
We don't usually associate with monkeys, but sometimes we do hunt them. Remember, we only hunt monkeys
when we're desperate. Fang hunts those howlers anyway. Who's Fang? Only our biggest enemy, aside from
Twolegs. Fang has been known to kill off our clanmates, so please do be careful. We don't want our newest
recruit killed off by a big cat.

Dear Starclan, I'm getting off paw! Let me show you our prey, for real this time.

This is the sloth. If you can climb trees, you'll be great at hunting down sloths.
Sloths spend most of their time sleeping, and are really slow. Plus, they make quite a meal!

See those colorful birds? Those are macaws. These colorful birds don't have much meat,
so they're a great first meal for kits. After a kit eats a macaw, we use the feathers to soften and adorn
our nests.

There are also eels, toucans, frogs, and--look! See that pink dolphin? They're a sign
of good luck, and aren't they beautiful! Speaking of good luck, now I remember that I haven't shown
you our camp!

Finally, we're in the camp! See those entwined tree roots? That's Highbranch, where I
have meetings and ceremonies with Jungleclan. All the dens are hidden under gigantic leaves, in which
the dens are dug out. Now, I'll let you off. Your clanmates will help you now. If you need any help,
please do ask me. Off you go.

My ears perk up before I open my eyes.
I hear the rain pound against the leaf
covering my dug out den. Typical.
Stretching out, I lick my pelt to the
best of my ability. Soon enough, I
stand up and look at my nest. All
nests are made of moss and macaw
feathers, and I can see how every
nest right now would be drenched like
mine. Of course, I'm used to the rainy
weather, it's just that I knew that it
was about time to change out the dens
and nests. My tail flicks in annoyance.
Hopefully this rain will stop soon. As if
the rain hears me, it pounds harder on
my camp. Great Starclan, is the Darkforest
controlling this rain? But I know the answer.
It's just a normal day.

I shiver as the large jaguar holds me in his large
paws. His hot breath makes the back of my neck
stray up. I can't hear anythign he's telling me,
surely this stupid cat must know that! And why was
he keeping me like his pet? He should've killed me a
long time ago! My eyes narrow as I think of life before
Fang captured me. I believe that i had 3 littermates,
but the memory is distant. Two calicoes and one black?
Then I realize something, Fang is asleep. I could easily
escape, if he lowers his grip on me. I'm not going to be
his chew toy anymore. I look around, bored of where Fang
lives. It's just dirt! This cat is a real frogbrain. Slowly, his
grip lowers, and I escape his wrath. I'm free! I look around,
eager to escape. Without thinking, I run out of the dirt den.
Water is dropping, and I look up. Looking up makes the water
go in my eyes. It's just rain. Rain. Rain! I play in the mud, when
I see a puddle. Looking in the puddle, I laugh at the kit looking back
at me. Black with white, amber eyes, that's me! Wet mud sticks to my
pelt, and I smile even more at my reflection.

my eyes slowly opened and my ears twitched when i heard the loud rain coming from outside my den. i stood, stretching and yawning, not bothering to clean the dry mud and dead leaves off of my matted pelt. i sat down at the entrance of my den, watching the rain fall heaving on the ground. i walked outside, shivering when the surprisingly warm rain hit my back. i looked around the clearing and only a few cats had woken and i was the only one standing in the middle of the clearing. i sighed and stalked back to my den, sitting down and playing with some moss like a kit.

i yawned, stretching and sitting down, curling my tail around my body. my ear twitched at the noises around me. odd and obnoxious noises escaping the bodies of my fellow warriors, the loud falling of the rain. i watched as stormfur slowly walked out of his den,then slowly stalked back in, playing with one of his herbs. i looked up at the sky, frowning. as much as i loved the jungle, the rain was the worst thing about it.

As I awaken, I frown when I hear the
rain pound. And I had to wake up
from my dream of hunting with
Sundance for this? I look over
at Sundance, expecting her to be
asleep. Instead, she's awake.
Cleaning my pelt, I stand up and look
at the leaf covering our den. Sure
enough, everything is soaked. But at
least my pelt is now clean--and wet.
My eyes peer back at Sundance and
I smile. She always made me smile,
even at the worst of times. Poking
her with my long tail, I give her a
cocky smile. Not that I expect swoons
from her, I just give that smile to her.
It's my favorite way to annoy her.

I curl as I hear the loud pounding
rain. Though my hearing is at its
worst, the sound of rain is quite
clear. I mumble,"Great Starclan
this weather was never good for
old bones." I look over at the mute
with jealousy. How is she sleeping
through this rain? Rain droplets
drip from the thick leaf covering
the top of our den. Everything is
drenched! Shaky, I shiver and
cover myself with a disappointingly
wet tail.

Fireblaze woke up happy. He always woke up happy, but today he felt. . . . happier. He bounced to his orange paws with a joyful smile plastered on his face. Fireblaze exited the cramped den, his fur quickly matting down to his skin from the cold rain. "Hi, everyone!" He mewed loudly, not even slightly dazed from the downpour.
Fireblaze sniffed for food, and was met with the warm scent of a dead macaw. Not much meat on these colorful birds, but they good. Anyways, he liked their nice feathers. Fireblaze grabbed one and began eating, tucking his paws underneath his orange chest.

The wet mud sticks to my paws. Smiling,
I jump in a pool of mud, not caring
that my pelt would get dirty. It's a wonderful
feeling. My head lifts and my amber eyes
widen at what I see. Rain is still dripping,
but I'm as happy as a macaw that just
learned how to fly. That is, until I
focus on what I see. A...camp? Suddenly,
I feel embarrassed. Why was I acting so
immature earlier? Now these strange cats
will see my muddy soaked pelt! A frown
deepens the end of my mouth. What
was I doing here anyways?

Crookedriver slightly clawed at the bark were he was and gasped a bit. He remembered that he had stayed there the night. His brown fur was bristling and he decided it was best that climbed down. The tom slipped past the wet, large leaves that covered him and he leaped down from the thick branch. Landing in the mud beneath him, he hissed in annoyance, and stalked his way out of, then giving himself a good groom as he focused on the sky. It was sprinkling quite a bit. He let the water sodden his fur and padded to his sheltered den, swaying his tail as if it was a slithering snake. As he entered the cave, his steps became a bit quieter, and the rain outside seemed like music for a cat to sleep to. Giving his fur a final grooming, the tom placed his wet paws under his chest and he slightly rested his head on his shoulder.

Ebonycreek's eyes were closed and she purred, a deep satisfaction inside of her, she licked her belly fur and then she looked up. The sky was grayish, yet it felt sticky and hot. It was the way it was out in the jungle. She flicked her ears and looked around her den. She felt admiration for the cats that had rescued her. Red, yellow, and blue feathers adorned the nests around her, and she felt a pang of loneliness. Two mates and two dead. That was all she had. The cat continued grooming her light fur and circled around her nest.
