The gem at first had trouble standing. Her legs had fallen asleep and protested the stance with fuzzy pain. The feeling was easily overcome, however. She quickly brushed any clinging dirt from her clothes and turned toward a visibly less dense area of the forrest. Lapis tilted her head, noting the space was now occupied by a human girl. She cleared her throat and spoke. "Oh. Hello? Who are you?" Perhaps the human knew the island better than she, and could be of use. Or maybe she knew where Jasper had gone.

Puerto Rico spotted the strange girl, she was blue! "Mi llamo Puerto Rico." She replied to the strange girl in Spanish. "Now, who are you, chica?" Puerto Rico continued with a slight smirk as her frog croaked "Coqui!"

She'd ignore it for now, as the question had been returned to her, though she'd probably end up inquiring about it later. "I'm Lapis. Lapis Lazuli." What was that thing on her shoulder? She'd not seen anything like it. It was likely just a member of Earth's fauna, but what was it doing on her shoulder? "Have you seen anyone else? Maybe someone with orange skin and white hair? Really muscular with a gemstone for a nose? It's very important I find her." Jasper probably wasn't anywhere nearby, and the likelihood of this human spotting her was very slim, but it was worth a shot to ask.
