Adrian woke to Kai stretching. Her back was to her human companion, causing her legs to jab him in the ribs. Opening his eyes, he blinked a few times drowsily. He simply layed there for a few minutes, really not feeling like getting up. Sucking air into his cheeks, he slowly let it out while moving to a sitting position. As he glanced around he noticed the sun was just starting to come through the small windows. His limbs were sore from sleeping on the ucomfortable floor though by now he was used to it. Some of the other group members chose to keep a pillow or blanket but as everyone had to be able to carry their own luggage, he chose to bring different items. Seeing as Kai was still sleeping he left the greyhound in her peace. Standing up, he was careful as to not wake the others as he grabbed one of his small bags and headed towards the back door. Half the door was rusted off and the rest was unable to open without being noisy, so he ducked through the gap. Walking along the side of the old warehouse, he suddenly stopped at the ladder leading up. Pulling himself up the rungs, it didn't take him long to reach the roof. Parts of the building were rusting up here as well, so he had to be careful where he stepped. Finding a decent place, he sat down while pulled large map from his bag, which he had set beside him, and unfolded it, laying it across the rooftop in front of him.
Cyris was perched on a high branch of an old oak tree. It had died years prior, but the majority of its limbs were still in tack. They were bare of all leaves, but that only made things easier for her. Her eyes quickly darted around to the environment in front of her, fidgeting her dark wings. She was in her full eagle form and it would be quite obvious to any onlooker the she was uncomfortable. Her mind was at a war with itself, stuck halfway between human and animalistic thoughts. She had shifted a little more than a day earlier and hadn't come back since. She had stayed close, for she knew she had some sort of duty near this town, but that was all her avian mind could comprehend. The warehouse some of the others were in was within sight, and she could faintly hear them rummaging around inside. She was aware the back of her mind was trying to tell her something, but she couldn't think straight. Letting out a small caw of distress, she unfurled her wings and took to the sky, only to return to the tree a few minutes later, only on a lower branch.
