(It's cool haha. Just a heads up, I won't be on most of tomorrow as I'm going somewhere.)
Jason chuckled at her apology, giving a nonchalant shrug. "It's cool, I just wasn't expecting it," he explained. He nodded as she mentioned the can, glancing back at the object for a moment before looking back to her. He'd get it later and toss it in the trash. He still wasn't sure why she was here in specific. It wasn't common for someone to just be swimming around in the ocean. It's not like the beach was very close. Around here there was just houses. "Jay," he replied simply, just giving her his nickname. It took him a moment to realize she was handing him the canine. In that time Kai squirmed slightly, turning her head and licking Lola's cheek. Jason bent down and scooped her up from the girl's arms, setting the hound down on the dock beside him. "And this here's Kai," he added, a small smile forming at the corners of his mouth. He held onto her collar, seeing as though she was tempted to jump back in. "You ah, want to come up here?" He questioned, looking down at her.
Adira jumped slightly as she heard a voice, looking around quickly before her eyes fixated once more on the rocks. She squinted her eyes, holding her hand up and positioning it so it blocked the sun's glare. The voice was clearly feminine, but that was about all that she knew. "Umm...hi?" she mumbled. What was someone doing out this far? If they had a boat or something it would be completely normal, though she couldn't see anything of the sort. She set the oar down on the board in front of her, still looking toward the rocks.
Adrian frowned at her rather rude reply, watching her closely for a few seconds before looking returning his gaze to the vast ocean. He was only saying hi, the least she could do would be to return the gesture. Fidgeting slightly, he clearly seemed uncomfortable. He wasn't used to talking to people like her. Or rather, not talking. He let out a small sigh, staying were he was. There wasn't any other place nearby that he could dry off, and he wasn't going to leave just because the other merfolk didn't seem to want him there. Even if there was, it would require him to get back in the water, and he was already half dry. From her comment, he assumed she was a full mermaid, not a hybrid like him. He pulled himself a few feet further up the sand, glancing back at her
Cyris slowly swam after him, staying near the bottom of the ocean floor. She wasn't consciously following him, but rather she was just curious. Witch was basically the same thing, just not in her mindset. She stayed further behind, not wanting to be seen. He didn't appear to be paying much attention to his surroundings anyways, so she assumed he wouldn't see her. As the male swam inside the narrow opening of a cave, she paused. This may be his home and although she wasn't always the most considerate person, she didn't invade things as such. After deliberating for a moment, she gave a small shrug. The worst that could happen was that he got angered and kicked her out. Dragging her tail behind her through the water, she set off in pursuit. She turned her body to fit through the gap easier then slowed, her eyes looking carefully over the cave walls. It was larger on the inside than she had thought, and the other merfolk was nowhere in sight.
