In my previous attempt I mentioned visiting an art gallery... I wasn't expecting much from the exhibition to be honest
But then there was this. Maaria Wirkkala was the artist if I'm not terribly mistaken :p I guess I should explain a little, umm...
There was this small room with black walls and ceiling and minimal lighting so it appeared as though you were in a void, and couldn't see the boundaries of the room. From the narrow doorway you could only see the floor and a huge rock on it.
When I entered the room I had my eyes fixed on the rock since there was not really anything else to look at. But then the floor started moving, like you'd expect in one of those weird houses in amusement parks. But the rock I was still staring at stayed stationary, and it made it feel like as if I was floating as long I didn't look at the floor Really something you should experience for yourself.
tl;dr: When I walked towards these dimly lit glass ladders hanging on the wall, it felt like they were rising from a dark abyss. I got this urge to paint them along with that feeling at some point, so now I had to draw a sketch of how it looked while I still remember.
It's far from the real thing and I've already forgotten some but oh well Probably should have snapped some photos....
Also, this turned out a lot better than the last one, heh
