well for the markings you could put them anywhere i guess... I think they would look best as a dark color... but I have a few ideas for what they can be for each element

fire--- Basic flame lines
air--- swirls lines going in one direction
Toxic--- Basic Bubble lines
Earth- hmmmm..... well I think like a rock, tree, or grass lines

what are the other elements?

They are listed in the first page. I wanted to see more because I have been thinking on creating a glowing mark/symbol for each element to be put in the forehead or neck of the dragon.

ya thats what I was thinking Oh and for ice it could be icicles but Idk what to do with Lava or darkness..... Poison could be the same as toxic (maybe a little different) and for lightning it could be a lightning bolt

Ice could have a snowflake form. Earth, a tree. Lava would be something similar to a rock with the fire color. Water, a drop. Toxic can be the radiotive symbol while poison had a skull outline XD. And yes, lightning would be a lightning bolt.

Hehe, I still have to think about the darkness one. All I know is that the symbol will be puple. By the way, I am also thinking seriously about a crystal element...
