Got an idea for a plot

A Clan has just moved to the mountains and left behind the place they lived in before. The deputy, (the main character) however, finds this unneeded and is trying to get them back to their original home...yeah, a little crappy but I'm still working on it XD

So the deputy is basically saying his/her leader has no idea what he/she is doing. I can totally buy that we've had a lot of bad experiences with leaders choices in the past

It sounds good though, i take it its a made up clan not one of the main four/five. It's a lot of fun making up new clans don't you think.

One thing I should point out to you, EarthSight, is that it's best to come up with some extended lore for the Clan. Often, worldbuilding leads to plot ideas.

Like, if you were to come up with some mythology and legends for the cats, then a potential plot idea could involve a cat who looks startlingly like a famous figure from history, or an apprentice desperate to make themselves eternally famous.

I feel like the original forest was taken away too quickly.
"Guys, there's been 6 books with their forest territory. LETS CHANGE IT INTO A LAKE WHERE THEY'LL LIVE FOR THE OTHER 18 BOOKS!"

yeah, I find that pretty unnecessary. Meh, the Erins needed something to fuel a plot during the next series. Lets just be happy that the powers thing didn't happen until the third series.

Dovewing thinks she's tha queen o' everything and since she has powers she can mush up Bumblestripe's heart and then eat it and scoot along to 'tigey-heart' again. e-e

yeah tbh jayfeather and hollyleaf are the only ones that I can tolerate [and even then the Jayfeather fangirls kind of ruined Jayfeather for me.] lionblaze is OP as heck and lionxheather is yet another annoying forbidden love pairing that the erins are CONSTANTLY milking [though at least POT only had one.] And LionxCinder wasn't a bit better [speaking of that, WHY DID REINCARNATION HAPPEN. >.<]And dovewing is just.. ugggggh do not get me started on her.

She's extremely annoying. I can kind of understand her wishing that she was normal, I guess, but her actions during the bumbleXdoveXtiger subplot bug the heck out of me. I haven't picked up a OOTS book in forever [or a warriors book for that matter. lol] so I'm sorry if I get something wrong here. Anyway, first of all TigerXDove was just a horrible pairing. Tigerstripe was nothing special at all, he was basically just another typical "tsundere forbidden love interest". Plus, the fact that they were meeting in secret to begin with was both immature and stupid. I mean, come on, up until this point, from Firestar's generation onwards alone, there had been FIVE forbidden romances!! Assuming that two or three is the average for forbidden romances per generation with this clan [which makes me wonder why they have that part of the code to begin with considering that it's always being broken], you'd think that they would have heard by now what happens to cats in forbidden relationships. And Dovewing was just horrible to Bumblestripe. She used him so that her clan would think that she was in a relationship they would approve of, all while still drooling over Tigerstripe. And then, at the end of TLH [which I hate], in order to resolve the stupid, contrived love triangle that was only there for fuel for the plot, she went off with bumblestripe! She used him, and then she suddenly decides that she's in love with him??

...So, yeah, I hate Dovewing.

Reading some of this makes me scared. Since I haven't read the 6th book of omen of the stars, I'm pretty sure I will hate Dovewing now. But right now I like her. Because for some reason the erins choose not to explore the possibility that two cats from different clans can be together and live happily together. No they always have to split them up and make it near impossible to fight each other if their clans went to war. Love cannot survive these kind of battles, which is probably what convinced Dovewing, but TRUE LOVE. If the cats truly loved each other they would be able to maintain their relationship, it would result in one of the cats joining their mates clan but at least they'd be together and they'd be able to support each other should the leader or the warriors of the clan turn against them
