You pretty much follow the tutorial above really.
The steps are all similar.
Taking your screenshot to use as reference, these are the only tabs you need open here.
Yellow is the tab you need open.
Red is the tab you can close.

So you only realistically need three of these tabs open.

On my screen, I opened it all up and set myself up.
This is what I have.

Let's colour code it so no confusion happens.
Green is the files here.

And if you follow the tutorial above, it makes sense what this all means because if we toss a label on what all of these represent...

It matches with the above tutorial :)
So you can use that to do your gif overlays.
I haven't gotten to get around to do "How to do multiple gifs in an overlay" part yet because that tutorial above took me like 3 hours to do and I am legit exhausted ^^;

You already had it up in your screenshot.
For you, it is called the "Animation" tab :)
An it is the same way as getting the timeline tab up.
There is a gif above showing this.

Hey, i have a quick question, what is the best site for me to put several gifs into one image for easier posting in a siggy, i'v been trying to use online image editor, but as soon as i ad another gif the bg goes black.

very bad with gif overlays
if u dont want the black backgrounds, you better crop it, unless you put spaces between the gifs.

I know you said a site, but if you have a lot of patience GIMP (a free software) might be worth your while? You'd have to line all the frames up, but, assuming your gifs aren't long or overly smooth, there shouldn't be that many frames to line up.

I'm sorry if you absolutely can't use a program but I just thought GIMP might help you out
