ugh. is it just me or am I annoyed when people call germany 'doitsu'? Like it makes sense if youre joking around and just do it like once or if youre japanese and you call germany doitsu, but i just get annoyed when people use it always whenever theyre talking. like this is just my opinion but am i the only one who thinks that?

it annoys me a little bit, but no Hetalians in my real life really do it anyways, we just call him "Germany" and the occasional "Deutschland" I just really hate when in fanfiction people make characters say things like "nii-san", "Iggy", "Doitsu", when anyone but Japan uses Japanese honourifics. I mean, Japan should be the only one actually using Japanese, and it doesn't really make sense when for example, Italy says "Doitsu!" In fanfiction. Same goes for America calling England "Iggy" when that nickname comes from "Igirusu" which is England's Japanese name. I'm going to stop ranting because thats not even what you were talking about in the first place lol . I guess I got a little carried away.

I agree that it depends on the context. For example, if you were quoting a line in an episode or you were doing it as a joke then it's fine. However, If you continuously call one of the characters "Iggy" "Doitsu" or whatever then yes it does get quite annoying. People eventually realize that it's not that fun and move on, It all just takes some getting used to. Heh, I used to do that when I first joined the hetalia fandom.
