Do your family/friends know about your characters? If so, how did they find out and how did they react?

My mother knows a bit about it. I tied to explain it to her once, but she doesn't really get it. From now on, if I pay for a commission using paypal, I tell her it's for a computer game. She doesn't think ordering art is a good way to spend my earnings. My one friend knows about ocs, as she has a few humanoids of her own. I've asked her to join CS/DA, but she refuses. Other than that, I try to keep this from my friends. This site has a bit of an odd name, and if I ever go on this site, besides on my phone, I get a bunch of weird looks.

it has been quite an extensive amount of time since I've been here; I doubt many of you recognize me here so I'll introduce myself; hello, I am Seraphim (Seir/Seraph) , it's great to see you and your characters.

I am starting up a species and I would like to gauge interest in it; just to see if it holds any interest --- hopefully it is different enough!
I have been working on this concept sketch all day and I would hate for it to be all for naught.

I will give you a little information on the species.

They have opposable thumbs and a lengthy tail to wrap about branches and grab things
They may steal things
They most often have vibrant colors, shaped pupils, forked tongues and blunt teeth
They may have horns (it depends on how I feel after lining and detailing)
It is uncommon but they have a third eye and even rarer, extra limbs - in the instance that they do, the first set of eyes are null and do not work
They are omnivores but prefer to eat berries and plants before meat due to the grinding their blunt teeth would have to do would wear them thin
They have fluid bones that they can harden to keep shape -- their organs do not change shape however.
They see colors really vibrantly (similar to the ability of a mantis shrimp)

As for the characters ;; no, no one really knows about them. They know that I draw and that I write. I don't think that anyone would really care about it because of my artistic abilities, I think they'd be intrigued, in all honesty.

whats a good canvas size for art for a sig, and whats a good canvas size in general for drawing feral?
and whats better, drawing large and then scaling down or drawing small and resizing bigger? (If things need to be resized)
