Irish Draught Horse

With Saint Patrick's day in mind, I am making a suggestion for a particular Irish breed of horse to be added to Redwood Valley Equestrian Centre. This breed is the Irish Draught Horse.

The Irish Draught Horse may bear a name which is pronounced as 'Draft' but, despite their strength, these horses are by no means traditional heavy horses. Irish Draught Horses were selectively bred so that one horse would be fit for many uses. The traditional Irish Draught Horse would be capable of pulling its weight on the farm, but also being a good harness horse and an excellent jumping horse. The breed has been on the verge of extinction more than once; the Irish Famine, the First World War and the grim period of the 1960s, to name a few. Despite this, the Irish Draught Horse goes without parallels when it comes to tackling the leaps required while crossing country. The Irish Draught is indeed a tall horse, yet it has a well-earned reputation as a horse which can thrive on considerably less feed than other horses of similar stature. The Irish Draught Horse is often breed to Thoroughbred horses in order to create the Irish Sport Horse. The Irish Draught often has a grey coat, although other colours certainly exist.

The Irish Draught Horse is Ireland's national horse breed. Considering the current demand for warmbloods at RVEC, I believe that the Irish Draught Horse will be a welcome addition.

Ooh, Friesians sound like a plan! I keep meaning to make a few more since there's only one pair, but I never had any requests ^^'

I think I'll hold off on the Walkers for now since I just released so many -- but later, certainly c:

Maybe another Irish Draught horse, sometime in the future? It would be nice to see a pair of them on the sim.

Sure thing, HeroHorse! I'll make another in a little bit ^^

Paints sound good! I'll make a few of those, too. But aha, here we come to the problem of rare breeds! xD Unfortunately, I won't be able to make any more unless it's for an event or something -- you'll have to breed the other Sugarbushes yourself xD

This is mainly a colour suggestion. Would it be possible for you to make a roan Clydesdale? Roan is an accepted colour of the Clydesdale breed, so it would be realistic.

On that note, goodnight everybody, I'm off to sleep.

That's actually a point I've been dancing around for some time now ^^' While "roan" is a name often given to roan-looking horses, it seems that it's either sabino or dominant white causing that sort of coloration in Clydesdales; to my knowledge, it's likely that the roan gene doesn't really exist, but I'd certainly not be opposed to roan-y sabinos c: I was actually planning on doing one of those next, if that's what you were wanting <3

Yes, that's what I was talking about. They do look similar to regular roans, which is why their colour is often referred to as such and, while genetically it is probably incorrect, it's the easiest phrase to describe the pattern.
