What is your and your dæmon's genders?
I'm a zhe (gender fluid) and sagë has always been a she, however I am using s/he? At the moment, sagë is actually being male... Which is weird, because s/he? Has always been female... However, as I am gender fluid, maybe sagë is going the same way?

So I was meditating last night, and I wanted to bring it up to you all because my dæmon played a role in it. Basically I closed my eyes before falling asleep and visualized myself getting out of bed, walking out of my room, and eventually letting my sleepy imagination drive me to wherever. (If there's a name for this sort of daydreaming/dreaming/meditation I'd love to hear it. I'll explain it more upon request, but anyhow,) I was pretty alarmed at how lucid my dæmon was. It was a lot easier to project him within a dream than in real life. I think I might try it tonight, now more so for the sake of dæmonic interaction than my previous goal of mental relaxation/introspection (and possibly precariously attempting to graze something spiritual...)

What does your dae call your family members?
He never refers to my family members like I would, i.e. he doesn't use "Mom" or "Dad" it's always "your mom" or "your dad". He doesn't really acknowledge any relationship outside of his one with me. But frankly, I kind of appreciate it because, for me, I enjoy having 100% of my dæmon's interest and affection. He'll speak kindly of my loved ones, sure, but at the end of the day I've got all his devotion.

What is your and your dæmon's genders?
I'm about as female as you get and Chi is male although he's not aggressively masculine so behavior-wise he can almost fall on the gender-neutral scale. He doesn't have any femininity to him though, and he's not going to ever strike me as something female.

I feel like it's really just a lot of bad plays on words and the occasional not-CS-appropriate remarks. He insists he's got some genuine comedic side to him, and I'll give in and agree to that, but for me to regurgitate his snark to you wouldn't come over the same online so we're just going to keep it between us, haha.

That's really interesting solar, I might try something similar. Phinx used to be very definite in projection, and he's faded a fair bit compared to his old self - however he's coming back again, slowly but surely.
Phinx has appeared in a few dreams of mine, and quite prominently, and so I think I just need to properly associate myself with him again just to get those kinds of things happening again.

I'm glad you're interested too. c: I've found my dæmon likes to give me a lot of advice, even if it's only within a dream. Actually that reminds me of a question I have...

In general I believe dæmons are non-spiritual, cognitive characters that the mind creates for an "imaginary friend." However I think it's very interesting that a lot of religions/spiritual practices cite an inner guide or even direct communication with a deity. I'll use my own religion as an example, since it's the one I'm most knowledgable on: in most denominations of Christianity, there is a "Holy Spirit" that keeps the church together and is active in the physical world. A lot of my churches have discussed the Holy Spirit to be similar to a companion or an inner "gut feeling." Dæmons being voices of the Holy Spirit isn't something I wholly embrace, but since both share the role of an "inner companion/spirit", I feel its possible to draw some similarities. Moreover, I think its uncanny how dæmonic characteristics are found in so many practices and stories, from a witch's "familiars" to the "angel/devil on the shoulder." I'm sure I'm correct in saying that it's actually the reverse: these practices existed first, and dæmonism kind of branched off from those preexisting concepts. But I'm seriously interested in the reason why so many people find a personified "inner voice" within themselves, and how dæmonism connects to that.

Personally, I don't. I don't like to label them as 'imaginary friends' because I don't think they are, but I don't see them as spiritual. I think it's another method in getting to know yourself, and processing thoughts and understanding the world around you. Phinx is only for me, not part of any other practice or religious belief.

Ohh that's really awesome Hogosha! Congrats! It's a beautiful form, and they're rather graceful creatures.
I'd really like to explore forms similar to an osprey, but to be perfectly honest, at this point in time, it fits to a T. I'm having a hard time finding similar animal forms too; I find that I'm a bit of a raptor soul, yet nowhere near as aggressive or out-there as other birds of prey. We'll see how time goes though!
