"We're not in control," I say as the coaster starts clicking its way up the first drop, " But someone is. The fun's just kinda gone when you don't have to worry about crashing into things anymore."

For the first time in his life, Raven threw his head back and laughed. He laughed for a good few minutes then looked at her, a smile still on his face. "Oh man, I haven't laughed like that......in a very long time," he said as he leaned his head back on the headrest.

Anastasia looked hurt as he told her to shut up, and stepped inside, looking down at her feet. If anyone could make her feel as small as the smallest creature in the world, it would be him. She didn't know what exactly his problem was, but she hoped it would stop soon.

The apartment was huge. He showed her to her room and turned the temperature down for the room. "Here."

Ana monitored the temperature. "Below 32 degrees," she said quietly. "20 degrees should do." She set her picture down and looked around the room. "How do you even pay for this place?"

Pyro turned it down to what she asked. "I do more than try to take over the city."

"Feels good, doesn't it?" I ask, leaning back and closing my eyes. I figure this thing is going to be a total snorefest anyways, might as well catch some z's "Amazing what happens when you start thinking for yourself again."

"Yeah it is," Raven replied softly as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. He smiled and chuckled to himself as he heard the people in the front start screaming as the coaster dipped down and started it's charge down the rest of the track.

Anastasia quirked a brow. "Like what? Run a mafia? Be a mafia lord?" She asked quizzically.

"I'm a part time scientist. I sell half of the inventions I make."

Anastasia galked at him. Some of the colour was returning to her body as she felt a little bit of heat seep into her. It wasn't life threatening, but it actually necessary for her to look normal, and she often went without noticing it after a while. "So, you try to take over the world sometimes, but on the side you're a scientists who sells half the inventions you make? Well. You think you know a person."
