Za'ji kept her face blank, but her ears perked up in response to the argonian's statement. Now there was some ammunition. "You have a son?" she asked, feigning mild curiosity. "I didn't take you for a family man. Where's his mother, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Dead" Auguseethus grunted, as if he didn't care. Why was he telling her this? August mentally kicked himself, but still he comtinued.
"I was young and dumb then. I didn't even realize I had a son until I got the news of his mothers death and he was practically dropped on my lap. It's okay though, he's a good boy. Very mature and responsible for his age."

"I'm sorry for your loss," Za'ji said, and she genuinely was. She knew full well what it was like to grow up without a mother, she could only imagine what it would be like to lose a spouse. That wasn't going to stop her from using that against him, if she needed to, but still. She figured she'd gotten enough dirt on him for now, there wasn't much to do besides make idle chatter until they reached Whiterun. " So, what made you suspicious of me? Phydra barely even bothered commenting on her brothers talk of blood. She never really bothered with races. Argonians and orcs were people to her as of any. Vampires, in this case, were very useful. She narrowed her eyes to maybe catch a glimpse of them, but right now she could not

Synette bartered with a nearby vendor for a
bit of paint for several minutes. In the end
she felt as if she had gotten the smaller end
of the deal, but she didn't mind. Atleast she
still had change to spare and the paint to up
her home's camouflage. She shook her head
and moved onto the next vendor, looking for
a door or latch of some sort. She was coming
to the conclusion quickly that this town made
her uneasy, a feeling she didn't like at all.

Duviyn walked up to the door of his shop and
flipped the Open/Closed sign to Open after a
small inventory break. But now he was ready
to get back to work. He had finished and del-
ivered all his orders already and the lack of
things to do was getting to him. He was starting
to doze off at the front counter, the swords on
display behind him gleaming handsomely in the
light.

Gwyneth left the Bee and Barb, a bottle of mead still in her hands. She sipped it while she walked through the streets of Riften, looking for something to do. She wouldn't mind going after that Dark Brotherhood suspect. It would probably prove to be an interesting mission, but before she did that, she needed to get a better weapon. Her war axes were beginning to get rusty, the tip of the blades growing dull.
She entered a random shop, seeing that the shopkeeper (Duviyn) was nearly asleep. She rolled her eyes, approaching the counter he was behind and impatiently tapping her nails on the wood. She received no response. "Wakey-wakey," the Companion said sharply, looking down at the oblivious shopkeeper as he rested his apparently tired eyes.

Zachariah glanced back at Katarina, a bit worried by the fact that she was behaving quite distantly towards them, not speaking at all. However, he soon caught up to Za'zah, and he slowed down, his worries about Katarina fading to the back of his mind. "Hi," he panted, breathless and thinking that this mission would be a lot easier if it was nighttime. Quickly, though, he began to explain to the Khajiit about why he and the others were following him. When he finished, he added, "So we sort of might be needing your help to get to Za'ji. Before, you know, they get to Dragon Bridge and he probably kills her." Okay, he was probably being a bit too blunt in his wording, but he was not caring because it would probably make Za'zah more determined in means of getting to her.
