Thranduil had stiffened when his sensitive ears picked up his daughter-in-law's voice, his eyes widening comically from the announcement. He was going to be a grandfather! The king almost fainted when he fully registered what was going on. Elrond tried to calm him down, everyone would freak out even more if an elf suddenly fainted, it was very rare for them to do so in the first place!

"Dad! Maethriel! Arrggg... Dad is fainting, I am becoming a father! It is all happening so fast! Come on Maethriel...we have to get you somewhere... private." Legolas said in a hurry, yet concerned for everybody's health.

Maethriel sighed contentedly she had been right about having twins but she hadn't expected them to be identical twins of the opposite gender a boy and a girl. She seemed fairly protective at the moment of them but both of them looked some what like legolas in her opinion she was just that they were healthy at this point.

So much was happening, and the half-ling is trying so hard not to laugh, its' in his nature. He settles for smiling widely at everyone. No-one has come to him for anything, herbs, cake, nada, so he stands by his cart - having let his mare out to graze - with the cake covered in a soft cloth atop his bundle.

The man rocks on his heels, watching the commings and goings, all those things which he isn't a part of, and yet is. Softly he begins to sing a song about new beginnings.

He smiled, his cheeks turning rosey red as he gazed at his two children. He was a father! He placed a hand on Maethriel's shoulder and said "They are beautiful, just like their mother. What are we going to call them?" He smiled lovingly at her and kisses her forehead, then storoked his children's heads.

She so desperately wanted to return, her mind told her no, to leave and fulfil her promise to her family, but her heart told her to go back, even just to say a proper goodbye.

"I was thinking of naming the boy Gilrandir and the girl Talindra." She said and added "Is it just or do our children appear to be identical?" Maethriel asked smiling at legolas and looking down at both of the newborns who appeared to be sleeping.

Thranduil, for some odd reason, distanced himself from his family. He seemed very nervous, having never seen a newborn elfling since Legolas was born...and that was how long ago? Too long to keep track of, that was for sure. For now he was content on pestering Elrond until the elf exploded from annoyance.

(Also I don't think Elrond has ever spotted Gil-Galad and I REALLY want to roleplay him spazzing)

Gil-Galad sighed heading over to thranduil and elrond he was curious as to why Thranduil was distancing himself he wasn't going to question the elven king but he had been meaning to speak to elrond for a while as the elven lord had no noticed he was there. "Thranduil is there some sort of reason why you seem to enjoy bothering Lord Elrond." Gil-Galad said his winged lion had walked up with him and was standing beside him.

Saelweth sighed keeping helrenthrad from wondering off and walking over to thranduil holding helrenthrad who was trying to wonder off. "I want to be put down!" Helrenthrad said he wanted to wonder off clearly and due to safety concerns Saelweth was not letting him she was being protective even though he only wanted to go bother his grandmother and grandfather.

"Its fun to annoy him," was the short and simple reply. Thranduil viewed Elrond as a big brother of sorts, so he made it his goal to annoy him like a little sibling would. He froze when the winged lion appeared before hiding behind the elvenlord. Elrond's eyes had widened when he recognized Gil-Galad's voice, looking up at him as if he had seen a ghost.

Even as things slipped into chaos around them, Tauriel kept her lips locked with Kili's for a good long while. She wanted to make this moment last, even if her sister was currently giving birth. Finally, when they pulled away, she smiled at his words, "And truly, you are the handsomest groom in all the lands, my husband." Her husband...she was married...married! To Kili! She hadn't thought it would ever happen, but it had! Here she was, and she'd never been happier! She offered her new groom her arm, "Well, shall we go to see our new niece or nephew?" she asked, currently unaware of the fact that she was actually the aunt to twins.

Bilbo was awkwardly clapping his hands, while torn between looking towards the sound of screaming and averting his gaze in favor of watching the happy bride and groom. This is the most uncomfortable wedding I have ever been to...but I am still happy for Kili! he glanced around. People were starting to disperse, milling about in confusion when Maethriel had gone into labor. He shook his head, finally giving up and deciding to find Lily. He walked around for a few moments, before he practically stumbled right into a cart, not having looked where he was going. He barely kept it from tipping over, then stumbled back, looking quite flustered and abashed. "E-Excuse me!" he apologized, straightening himself out and glancing around until his gaze landed on the person whom he suspected was the owner of the cart. There was something a bit...off about him, but the Hobbit couldn't quite place it. "So very sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going, everything is happening so quickly," he gushed, fixing his jacket.
