Tauriel placed her hand over her heart, absolutely touched by Kili's soulful words. She produced the ring that she was to give Kili and glanced down at it, preparing to say her part. The ring she had procured for him was a strong-looking silvery steel...but laced throughout were the shimmering lines of golden patterns, zig-zagging across it in a very byzantine, Dwarfish pattern that somehow induced feelings of candid beauty. And at the center, there was a blackish stone...and inscribed on it was the very same rune that had been on the runestone he'd given to her. She had made a request at Erebor - which had reluctantly been fulfilled - and had spent a great deal of coin to have it made. She hadn't known at the time that she would want to use it for the wedding, but it was perfect. "Kili...for the longest time, I thought I was independent. I had...grown up mostly alone, and I, too, had a hole in my heart. What was worse, though, was that I didn't even know it was there. I didn't realize that I needed anybody until you came into my life, Kili. I didn't know my cup was empty until you filled it. As you once said, the stars are a distant light...but I love you to the stars and back." she slipped the ring onto his finger and smiled gently.

Celeborn watched the moving ceremony and felt it in his heart. And when Tauriel had finished speaking, he started up again. There was but one more part of the ceremony to perform. "Kili, do you take Tauriel as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
