"Yeah, I might do that. Though it's not so much the flying as it is the broom, I just can't control it." Eve admitted sheepishly to Shanaia. She would have continued along that line of conversation had she not noticed that they had been joined by three other students.
"Go ahead and sit down." She said invitingly to the girl who had just walked in. "My name is Evelyn but you can just call me Eve if you want." She introduced herself before turning to the other two students who had joined them just before. "Sorry if I seemed rude but I didn't notice you two come in." She said apologetically. "I get a bit caught up in conversation once I start talking, there could have been an explosion and I wouldn't have noticed." She gave a small laugh at the end of that sentence, trying to pass over that awkward introduction.

Shanaia acknowledged the other students with a quick upward jerk of her head and a small two-fingered wave, then returned to her box. After a particularly complex incantation, a small window on the box flashed blue for the briefest of seconds, then went out again. Shanaia's only response to this was a slight growl of annoyance, and a sense of increased irritation in her wand movements. Saying her name hadn't even crossed her mind, so intent was she on her experiment.

Kaiden looked through the window of her empty cart and saw a few kids her age practicing spells. She let out a sigh, slumping against her seat. Pulling out her black 12 inch wand, Kaiden flicked her wand. A book that has been laying on top of her bag floated to her hands. Setting the wand next to her, she opened the book and ingored the emptiness of the cart.

Evelyn Rayne
Eve jerked a bit forward in her seat as the train suddenly lurched forward.
Finally she thought happily, excited at the prospect of discussing her progress with the Crups with the Care of Magical Creatures professor. She glanced over at Shanaia when she noticed her performing a spell and her attention was caught by the item the older girls was concentrating on. "What is that?" She asked curiously. "Is it something to do with your Muggle Studies class? You mentioned you had a paper, is that for extra credit or something?" She was genuinely curious, especially considering she grew up in a pureblood household in a completely magical community.
Turning to Raven she decided to fill her in on their previous conversation. "We were discussing last minute homework earlier. Have you finished all of yours?"

"Well, yes and no," Shanaia said, looking up from her work. There was the faintest hint of a manic gleam in her eyes, which happened a lot when she got excited about something. Her classmates had long learned not to ask her about her projects, she could go on for hours about them. "It's my own project, but I figured it would be fairly easy for me to shoehorn it into my paper as well." Digging a fingernail into a seam running around the side of the square, she flipped the top half of the square open, revealing a slightly larger window, as well as a panel with numbers inscribed on it. "My dad gave this to me when I was ten," she said. "Muggles use them to talk to each other over long distances. Kind of like Floo powder, but you don't need a fireplace to use it. It doesn't work here, obviously, but that's the focus of my experiment. I'm trying to find a way to get Muggle stuff to work in a magical environment."

Sorry guys, wont be able to reply until tomorrow. I'm not well at the moment but I can't take my prescription because it reacts badly with my other tablets i'm already taking so I have to wait it out. I'll be back on tomorrow when I don't feel like i'm dying (slight overreaction but yeah, you know how it is when you're sick). Thanks for your patience.
