Lily stopped singing. Was that a voice she heard? She slowly climbed off her pony. She tied his reigns to a low hanging branch. Strange, the voice had seemed almost familiar. She drew her hood down lower, casting a shadow over her face as she slowly kept forward in the direction of the voice. Shd pulled out a small knife she used for cutting plants she needed. It was the best weapon she had. The voice had sounded to normal to be that of an Ork. Not deep enough. Yet it was also not light and silky enough to be an elf.

It suddenly dawned on Bilbo that someone had been singing (until he had called out), but it was a soft din that he hadn't been able to detect until it stopped. And that voice...even after it stopped, he recognized it, though he couldn't quite place who it belonged to...someone back at the Shire, no doubt. That's impossible...what Hobbit in their right mind would leave the Shire for Mirkwood...wait a moment...ah. Yes. Me. he shook his head. The forest must be playing tricks on me, like it always does... still, he found himself pushing onward without any real reason for doing so. He sliced through a particularly thick vine with Sting, and a lattice of branches subsided to reveal... "Lily?!" he stumbled backwards a few paces.

Lily blinked a moment. It took her a second to comprehend whom was in front of her. After all, she had not seen Bilbo since the week before he left on his little adventure with a strange company of dwarves and a wizard. She herself had not even gotten to say goodbye. Then, in a rush, it came to her. "Bilbo?" She asked in confusion, taking off her hood and tilting her hear slightly, filled with curiosity. "What are you doing here? Several of us back at the Shire thought you had up and disappeared off the Earth."

Bilbo couldn't help but let out a weak laugh, "Aha, you could say that...I may as well have, I suppose. Fancy they all think I'm dead by now!" he frowned, raising a brow at her. "They haven't started going through my things, have they? And those Sackville-Bagginses, they've been itching to get their stingy hands on my--" he stopped abruptly, coming into himself again. "Sorry about that...I've been through a lot..." his eyes lit up when he finally realized he had another Hobbit to talk to, after all this time. "I haven't seen you in ages! How are you? What are you doing out here?"

"I was out collecting herbs for some medicines I make and sell. Never thought I would find an old friend as well. Talk about good luck. Things have been rather dull for me since you left." Lily laughed a little. She placed her knife back in her pocket. "Other's all thought I was nutty thinking you were still alive. I managed to keep your relatives out of your stuff. Your welcome by the way." She smiled. She had missed him more than she originally thought apparently. She had never really had any friends other than him, despite her friendly, generous, caring and upbeat nature towards almost anyone and anything.

"Of course and I do agree with you on that one Tauriel. I also found I am going to be grandfather and that is shock to me" he said and glanced at Artemis Thailsetho's winged horse who had seemingly taken to wondering around the horse was certainly a sight to behold it seemed to wonder off as if it was looking for something probably Hulden and her stallion.

Upon seeing Lily put her knife away, Bilbo remembered that he was still holding Sting, and he sheathed it once more. "Ah, things not quite the same at home without Bilbo Baggins, hmm?" he laughed. "I can imagine...And it's good to hear the Sackvilles haven't gotten to any of my things yet, thank you. I only wish I could say things have been dull for me," he complained playfully, recalling everything that had happened since their last encounter. "Dwarves make such...interesting company," he remarked. "Wizards even more so. And since we last met..." he looked at her and broke into a hysterical grin. "...my goodness, I'm about to sound like a madman: I fought Orcs and Trolls! I stole treasure! I looked a dragon in the eyes! I just finished running away from a...a Ringwraith, whatever those are." he shook his head.

Tauriel tilted her head and smiled at her newfound father. "I'm certain you will make a wonderful grandfather, My Lord." It was so strange, finding out that your father was the High King of Noldor...it almost felt odd to call him 'Father' instead of 'My King' or 'My Lord' or 'Lord Gil-galad.'

Lily chuckled and shook her head. "My, my Bilbo Baggins. Looks and bravery. Rare to have both qualities when it comes to us hobbits, as you know. I have to say I am rather impressed. It's not every day you see a hobbit go into battle and look at a dragon without screaming in terror." She teased. "Unless you DID scream in terror." She laughed.

Gil-Galad chuckled when she called him my lord "you do nit have to call me that but you can address me by name if you aren't comfortable with anything else."he said

The young dwarf chuckled as Tauriel continued to call her own father "my lord". He continued to lean against the tree, listening to the reunion.
