Propwash Junction

The sun rose over an absolutely stunning vista: the cornfields of rural Minnesota surrounding the town of Propwash Junction, which was set at the base of a towering bluff. Dappled greens and browns were the primary colors in this setting, creating a varicolored pastel over the countryside. It was a type of beauty most vehicles could appreciate, and in this instance, the racer-turned-firefighter Dusty Crophopper rolled out of his hanger bright and early to marvel at this view, which never got old to him. The plane was sporting a red, black, and white paint setting for his new job, which he'd gotten certified for only a few months ago.

Sighing contentedly, the firefighter knew that today he was getting most of the day off, thanks to an airshow that would be taking place on the verge of racing season. While Dusty wasn't big on "showing off", he couldn't really avoid it these days. The last airshow he'd done during the Corn Festival had been such a success that another one was past the planning stages and into the execution now. There was higher and higher demand on the plane, and much as Dusty didn't like this, Propwash Junction was becoming... commercialized. It had started out small at first, but as business began booming every time a show occurred, more were scheduled, and before long, Dusty was in more demand than he cared to be in.

Still, this was the last one for awhile, as racing season was around the corner, and he'd be committed to his job as a firefighter and would get the weekends to race. Dusty took another moment to gaze out at the scenery, and began rolling towards the Fill 'n Fly to get his morning fill up. Little did he realize... this day would not be what he was expecting... and would start affecting the lives of many others before it was over...
