As long as you have the artist's / owner's permission or they have openly stated that the art is for free use (usually this will be visible either on the individual image page or a main part of the website,) it's fine to use the image in your signature. However, if you do not have permission or the owner hasn't said anything one way or the other about the art being free, taking it for your signature would be considered art theft and would result in a warning or other consequences.

just a question, is putting a 'genderpunk' stamp in your signature considered offensive, given that 'genderpunk' mocks the stereotypes surrounding genders? I'd like to include this but I want to make sure it's okay first.

I don't have any real say, of course, but I think this is okay, since it's a stamp portraying that you're in favour of a specific concept. It doesn't say "anti" or "against" on the stamp, so at least I read it as you being a supporter of that idea.

As long as it is a respectful and receptive discussion and not spam or random announcement; it says it about the third paragraph on the first post c:
