(Agreed, though I personally do not see a need for a new thread. We are only at 90 pages and Teekl does a pretty good job at separating those who are active and those who are not. I also believe that the story is in a pretty good place, but honestly I am not up-to-date on everyone.)

Slade smiled, "Of course." He waved a farewell to the sea creature, then led Luna deeper into the waters. Finally, they reached the spot. The place where he'd set it up. His scarlet eyes narrowed and a slight grin passed over his features, like a cloud passing over the sun briefly. "Stay right there," he said, indicating that she tread water to stay where she was while he swam a ways away to find the trigger. Finally he found it...the one he'd set last night. "Excellent..." he paused only briefly before tugging on the course rope...and a net starting to drop right over Luna's head. At the last second, Slade's eyes morphed into a baby blue, and he frowned, staring blankly at the rope he'd just pulled. "What am I...doing?" he murmured inaudibly. His heart was aching for some reason...

Midge's eyes lit up when Nichole explained the technology. "That's nifty!" she remarked, then frowned when she came across the part about Rose. "Aww...are they gonna be alright?" she gestured behind her at the room they were now leaving. "I mean, all of them?" she could simply sense an air of uneasiness, anxiety and confusion emanating from that room, and a part of her wanted to know if they were going to be fine in the end. It almost made her wing hurt a little less, thinking about the pain they might be going through.

Gene gave a withering look before he recomposed himself quickly, as though he'd momentarily let his guard down, "No, no, don't apologize. None of this is your fault," he assured, casting a downward glance and then looking back up at her. Her eyes were just the same as before...and if he stared into them long enough, he could almost make himself believe he was talking to the same Rose he'd met a few days ago. This...this is insane. He quickly tore his gaze from her when he realized that he was staring, not wanting to look like some creepy stalker-boy. "I...work as an intern here," he muttered futilely, gesturing around the room.

Nichole Knight's cold eyes softened for just a moment when the young siren asked about the others. The girl is truly caring. The scientist nodded, letting her false charming persona once again take over, "Oh of course dear, they will be absolutely fine," she said giving a fake smile, "They just have a few things to work through." Leading Midge down the hall she said, "Now, let's see what we can do about that wing of yours."

Rose let her smile fade for just a moment; it was clear that something was not right. Quickly regaining herself, Rose looked back up at Gene, "Well it is nice to meet you," she said. Then she turned to the tall man standing at the intern's side. Concentrating on his face, she tried to place him somewhere in her mind, and could not help but feeling defeated when she failed. "Hello," she said to him, "What is your name?" Fortunately, Paul was ahead of the game and had grabbed a notebook and pen. Quickly he scribbled out a message and turned it around for Rose to see. Hello Rose, my name is Paul. We are friends. Rose looked at the message and smiled. "Well, hello Paul." The siren did his best to return a smile, but could not help but feeling crushed. He decided that it would be best not to officially introduce himself until his daughter could remember a bit more, even if that may never happen.

{I am starting to plan in my mind how Nichole is going to return to her old crazy self. To do this I think I am going to create a fourth character, specifically made for Nichole to catch and experiment on. This character will most likely not be around long.}
