Cracker looked around, checking that there were no vehicles before continuing to run towards Burnt and the other dogs.

Tolvia looked at Godric and positioned herself for a sprint. Then, when Godric gave the command, she pushed forward. Feeling the body on her shoulders shift, she shifted the opposite way that the body did and in effect became close to Godric. The male germanshepherd may have been injured, but his masculine body made sure he was more powerful than she and even with his injury Tolvia was having to run at almost two thirds of her top speed to match his. When her toes clicked onto the pavement, she looked back at the cars, seeing eyes firmly on the dog-body on their backs. "Where now?" She asked, looking at Godric.

Hillary looked at the sky, it was like a rainbow when you looked from where she was out into the distance "OH DEAR! Sundown! I've never been walking alone in the streets at night" she squealed walking backwards and bumping into Loka.

Loka produced a smile as Hillary backed into him, and he nipped her ear playfully. "Really? Im out at this time almost every night." He looked up at the sky, admiring the twilight. He thought it was beautiful. "You aren't alone," He told Hillary with a smile. "Im here. Nobody's gonna try to attack us, im a fighting dog." He said proudly, raising his head.

"Impressive" Hillary said "i've never met a fighting dog before". She followed his gaze into the sky and stared intently. She smiled "i've always wanted to reach out and touch the rainbow colors" she said, she knew it sounded silly but it was SO beautiful.

"Well, I guess one day you'll be able to. There's a mountain in the forest on the otherside of the city, one day i'll take you there and we can go to the top. You'll be able to touch the lights from there, im sure." He looked up at the sky, the lights resembling a very dim rainbow. "Wonder where mum is..." He wondered aloud, looking at Hillary and then at the sky again.

Hillary stood and puffed out her sholders making her look bigger. She stared at the sky with a warm smile.

The male shepherd's muscles tensed as eyes turned to stare curiously at them, and he tried to ignore the way Tolvia's fur was brushing his own. Slightly flustered, he barked, "Er-- forward! To the alley, and into the park. There's a hole just on the other side."

Tolvia's tail had secured itself a place firmly between her legs -- frightened by the loud beeps and screech of the cars and lorrys that were driving past, her temprament became frantic and she followed Godric's orders without hesitation. She feared that she may become roadkill, or that perhaps a car would turn into a larger predator and gobble her up in a flash. Padding alongside Godric, she shifted so that their fur did not touch, wondering for only a moment if it had bothered the male at all.

Despite himself, Godric was slightly disappointed when the female shepherd shifted away from him. Shrugging mentally, he hopped up onto the curb, hoisted himself, Tolvia, and the body on their back onto the sidewalk, and into the alley, not stopping his tense trot until they had reached the hole in the fence.

"Alright, I'll go through first and pull her under, then we'll bury her," he panted. By now his shoulder was burning, and were the blood had dried and staunched the bleeding, it had began to slowly ooze blood again. Really? Godric thought, exasperated. It finally stopped! Shaking his head he gave it a quick lick then thrust himself under the fence.
