Leafshadow nodded, hiding his worry. "He..." he cleared his throat, hissing at himself for sounding kitlike. "He's fine. He needs to rest. And I saw something. It must be a sign."

He pricked his ears at what leafshadow had said.
"sign?" Cherrybreeze repeated looking questionly at leafshadow.

"Cherrybreeze, I want you to do a border patrol with our least injured warriors."
"you can eat from freshkill first thou."
Ivystar felt frighted like a kit. what if an pack of rouges attacked now? She bounded into her den wishing she could run away from all her trubles.

Leafshadow motioned Cherrybreeze off. "Listen to Ivystar." He lowered his voice so that only Ivystar could hear him. "Those cats had shadows running off of them. Those were not living cats. Some where, others weren't."

He paded away but kept his ears pricked.

She snapped loudly.

Leafshadow flattened his ears and his fur bristled. "NONSENSE?! StarClan's warnings are nonsense? Fine. You shall not hear of any signs I receive any more!"

Polarstorm padded over to the freshkill pile. She heard Leafshadow and Ivystar yelling. What going on with them? she thought.
