Dear Me,
I have to say, I'm impressed that you've crammed in Track with your busy schedule. Well, maybe you haven't exactly, but we can work it all out as time flows. For the time being, you're doing great. You've beat your best 1600 m time, and you'll be competing against varsity upperclassmen and M in no time. Remember, you have until the end of the season to break into a sub-6:00 mile. Also, just as a reminder, Finals start tomorrow, and I can assure you that you will get A's on each one of them. I know you will. You're not in the top honors classes for nothing. You're smart, you're stubborn, you're clever, creative, and dexterous. Use that crafty brain of yours to the maximum benefit.
How about we make a deal. If you do great on your finals, we can go and buy us some new clothes. Maybe a long-sleeved shirt for track, some spandex shorts, or a cute top from Hollister. Well, then again, you just got a top yesterday. Let's wait until the next sale and save some money for the time being. But, your abs are getting much stronger, so you'll have the perfect shape just in time for bikini weather. You've got all the types of crunches down, but you need to work on the "bikes". Those are definitely tricky. Remember, core's just as important as the running! Be sure to do your 8-minute-abs. Now. Like right now. Get off the computer, stop procrastinating, and get busy.
Goodness, after reading over my flow of thoughts without any editing, I've just realized how much of a true teenage girl we've become. Passion for fashion, check; academics, check; procrastination, check; sports, check; crush on C that seems to be getting somewhere, check! We're doing alright so far, aren't we?
Yours truly,
Me
P.S. Don't forget the deal we made with J and J, that we would beat their mid-5:00's miles at some point. We'll get fast to the point that even C will be impressed, though his 4:30's-ish speed is physically impossible for us. I know that you can do it. If they can, then you can. You were naturally faster than them before they joined cross country, after all.
