I'm a little late to the party here, but I won't spoil anything; however I will say these aren't exactly what they appear to be. c:

Not exactly as they appear to be? Hmm, I'm probably totally wrong but maybe some sort of colorful tiger dog? I dunno. They have the stripes on the back, and the little flares around the eyes which tigers have. I don't know, I'm grasping at straws.

What if that dark purple swirl is a proboscis shape? And these are butterfly dogs?

These guys are intriguing now. x3 I think the purple on the blanket looks like a wing.
