i don't get where the koi idea come from, i don't see a "koi" when i look at it.

People think koi because kois are generally patchy like the chick is but yellow and black is an unpopular color for kois. Some kois also have the reddish orange cap going on but I couldn't find a pic of a yellow black capped koi.

Mm. I know what koi look like, I just don't see a resemblance with this chick and koi. Yes, patchy but I don't see koi. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love the parents and am excited to see the pups.. I wish they'd do more older pets though.. They need to breed some favorites for us to hoard.
