If I auctioned double and single event/special custom equids for USD/Deviantart Points (Via deviantart not CS) what would your reaction be?
I don't particularry like that idea very much to be honest :-/ Many people (myself included) would be unable to purchase them, so would feel pretty sad and annoyed that others can get them so easily. And aren't customs supposed to be earned anyway? Whether it's through the 200 equid challenge, being a member of the staff etc? It would just feel wrong to me if all of a sudden they could be "bought", whereas others have worked so hard for their own.
That's just my two cents anyway, others may think differently and I respect that <3 In the end it's your decision horsy, and I'm going to stick by this species no matter what happens anyway <3

I want to just get peoples views, such as the breedings, that seems to be swaying me towards that instead of actual customs, so its all about ideas

I would beg my boo to get me one, beg and beg. And hope he would be willing to put money towards pixels for me .-. But most likely not and that would make me rather upset, but I suppose there is always a chance. Same with breedings.

How much do you think they would be? Not very much I would hope ;-; because we are going to be starting our lives together soon and need to put our money towards important things, yet I would die for the chance you speak of <3

Edit: (Sorry I keep editing, I keep coming up with ideas I'm so excited ) Maybe there should be a restriction for a longer period? I.e. you can only buy 1 a month, or your can't buy more than 10 special Equids or something xD

Thats why I would auction them, so there was a cap on the number and there would be limits on breeding.
So in the case of a roan skele, it would either pass on the roan or the skele, so it wouldn't produce roan halfskeles, etc.
There would be things in place to prevent special baby spam!

I'm not sure, I'm just dipping my toes in the water, it wouldn't be much as they are breedings not customs ($1.00-$3.50 ish, 100-350 da points) Probably towards the lower end of that.

Not much at all, I don't want people bending over backwards for them as I begrudge spending too much on designs, so I would keep that in mind. The minimum bid and increment would be very low, so more people have a chance. Obviously if people jump in a lot higher I can't stop them.

I was also thinking, for every set amount of money made I would raffle a free custom equid, so the more money spent the more free stuff that is offered. So everyone benefits. And those who bought a custom can't win the raffle. Some customs would also be offered to equidless players too.

I also want to give some of the profits to the permanent staff as a thank you for their hard work.

So there is a chance of making it an event and offering stuff to everyone.

Well, I think this is a great idea for those who can afford it and in general and also would be great to support you as an artist which I think you deserve more recognition for so I think it would be cool for super rare equids! I couldn't afford it (edit;; but I might be able to afford a bit?) and I don't have DA points (I'm sorry, I'd love to support you as an artist) but I still love WME anyway and tbh I love my current quids as much as I would love some equid who was something like a skeleton roan spotted dragon quid x3 If we needed DA points for all breedings I might freak out a little though... sounds really awesome though c:
Edit;; oooo I love the idea of the raffle thing and all the artists getting some profit! c: wow, this is kinda exciting... haha, still getting used to new gorgeous lines too! The species would still stay on cs though right? :3

I think $1.00 sounds perfectly reasonable for a breeding, and maybe if it is a breeding for a roan or something considered rare it should be more? I think that is an interesting idea c: since we would be paying, are we allowed possibly one more request?

I would be very willing to get some of my -extremely many- breedings knocked off my list!

And even more so, I would love to at least get a custom, even if it isn't anything "special" it would still be extremely special to me <3 I don't want an equid just to 'have one of those'. I would rather put time into a custom and have it be something that really means something. So would we be able to purchase regular customs? You know what one I've had in mind <3

I'm not a fan of auctions, because I'm usually not fast enough and I don't get on often enough xD But I'd definitely be interested in buying premade pretty Equids, like setting a buyout price? The breeding price seems fine, so I'd certainly be happy about that <33 Although, I think special breedings shouldn't increase the price. Some of us have already worked a lot just getting a roan slot. But that's just my opinion xD
