Katarina's smile faded to a scowl. "Whatever." She said. Her bitterness returned as she flicked his hand away from her. ".....Just go." She said he voice had a hit of heartbreak in it.

Walking into the inn, Za'ji couldn't help but notice that the Listener was upset about something. She'd have to talk to her about it later. "I suppose I must thank you," she said, climbing the stairs to the room she was in before, "For paying for my bed tonight."

Za'zah nodded. " Naturally my darling." He said. "You can have whatever you desire my sweet." The white khajiit said with a purr.

Zachariah frowned. "Uh, okay then ... bye?" he said, trying, and failing, to hide the hint of hurt in his voice. He turned, leaving the inn. Honestly, he was still a bit drunk, so he didn't really know how he expected to find his friend, though he did have an idea of where Gale might be at if he was sulking over something; somewhere in the Ratway. He shook his head as he walked down the steps that lead towards the Ratway entrance. 'Gods, Gale, why do you have to make this so difficult?' he thought as he stepped into the entrance.

Two of the many thugs that inhabited the Ratway stepped forward when they spotted someone enter, but left him alone when they realized that it was Zachariah. He was sort of wellknown down in the Riften sewers for being the Guildmaster - a man who could easily convince Maven Black-Briar to throw the thugs in jail if they bothered him. He shoved past them, ignoring the insults they threw at his retreating form, too focused on his search for Gale to give a retort. 'Now, where would a sulking Gale wonder off to?' he asked himself. 'The Warrens. Nobody except the people that don't want to be found go there.'

Of course. He sighed, turning in that direction and pausing when he reached it. He listened closely, his hearing acute considering his eyesight wasn't exactly the best, and soon heard the sound of sniffling. Gale's sniffling, as a matter of fact. He blinked several times as he wondered what he could have possibly did or said to cause the other man to be that upset, then cleared his thoughts and entered the room the sniffling was coming from, not even bothering to knock. And sitting right there was Gale. His gaze skipped over him, automatically landing on the dent in the wall, then down to Gale's bruised knuckles. "Seriously? What'd you do to yourself?" he muttered with an exaggerated roll of his eyes as he awaited the other man's response.

Katarina sat there alone. Right when something was going well for her, someone screws it up. The Listener will forever dislike Gale now for taking Zach's attention away from her. The bottle she was holding broke in her hand.

"Don't be so quick to make promises like that," Za'ji said, once the door had closed behind them. Taking off her disguise and revealing her armor and weapons underneath, she then unbelted her daggers and put them on the nightstand next to the bed. Her bow was still in the alley next to the body, she'd have to get that later. After taking off the pouches at her waist, she laid down on the bed and continued "That's the best way to waste your money."

"Oh but I will make that promise." Za'zah said and walked past her. "Cause for me......" He revealed that he took Za'ji's money. "everything is free." He said with a sly smile.

"And for me," Za'ji said, snatching her coin purse out of the thief's hand, "Everyone is dead." Stuffing the money into the sole of her boot, Za'ji rolled over on the bed, making it clear she was done talking.

Za'zah was unsure if she was now upset with him or not. Since there was only one bed in the room, Za'zah sat on the floor leaning on the wall. He looked at her for awhile before leaning his head back.

Since she knew Za'zah couldn't see her face, Za'ji smiled. It was fun to toy with him, like watching a cat chase a piece of string. She herself still wasn't quite sure how she felt about him yet, he was devoted, certainly, but at the same time he was almost too devoted. She liked him, definitely, but maybe not as much as he liked her. Maybe she'd talk to Katarina about it, she seemed to know a lot about men. "Good night, Za'zah," she said, the tone of her voice letting him know she wasn't angry at him. Shifting slightly on the straw mattress, the young Khajiit closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
