I wondered through the hall, down the stairs and made my way to the yard, with a picnic blanket under my arm, and a good book. Mother never let me use any of the good blankets outside, mostly because I somehow always half ended up destroying them. I threw the blanket lightly, watching as it fell to the ground, perfectly. I called for Vivi, wanting her to join me, on this beautiful day
