mason is a quiet and reserved man that has always done what
he is told and never ever would do anything to threaten anyone.
everyone calls him a gentle giant, seeing that he stands at a b
asketball worthy height of six feet seven inches. he is twenty t
hree years old, but seems to be rather mentally delayed for som
e reason. he was diagnosed with autism when he was very youn
g, but it never seemed to stop him from doing anything that he
really wanted to do. but generally, little kids are the only peopl
e that he can get along with because grown ups do not wish to
be around him. he's awkward in conversations and when uncom
fortable will just begin to do something else without excusing h
imself from the conversation. which is why he is usually put to
work mucking out and cleaning the facility instead of working
at the front desk or something where he would have to use social
skills. his best friend is his shire horse gelding, hickory, he can
only afford one horse but has never wanted another because of th
eir deep connection. they know exactly what the other is thinking
and have been together since the start of mason's riding career.
around seven years to be exact. his parents worked on a farm,
and they had to pull a plow with the draft horses that he grew up
on. for his fifteenth birthday he got a colt and subsequently they
have been inseparable ever since. wherever the tall man goes,
his twenty one hand horse follows. mason is curious, reserved,
kind, innocent, and soft spoken, but he can be a bit stubborn
and will get mad and throw things at random points in a day.
generally hickory is there to calm him, however, and he gets
past his anger.
