Re: [editable] COPPA awareness

Just going to say, I've been on CS two years now, and have pretty much never seen anything that just says "NO COPPAS!!!!!!1!!1!". It's true, I myself am not a COPPA, so I've never had the opportunity to be bullied, but it mostly seems that people try to make sure there are good ways for COPPAs to communicate and join in.

I just did a bit of reading up on the Child's Online Privacy Protection Act, and all it seems to do is keep people from collecting personal information from children under 13. This seems to mean that CS's rules about posting on forums and sending PMs are more for the purpose of keeping children from bothering older members. I suppose it would be possible for an older member to make a child give out personal information, but it seems to me that CS really doesn't need to have the whole COPPA thing.

I mean, not to be rude, but you've got it all wrong.
The Child's Online Privacy Protection Act is meant to be REQUIRED BY LAW, on most games with forums. Thats why on Wolfquest, I am a coppa'd but I think I can still post on forums. Actually, I can't, not even the help forums. So, yeah.. And, saying "This seems to mean that CS's rules about posting to forums and sending Pm's are more for the purpose of keeping childern from bothering older members"
1, that's rude, 2, its the other way around, and 3, CS does not own COPPA.

I love this,
My daughter was a coppa and still is. One time she entered a auction and gave away some very important pets on accident. My daughter suggested a trade back, but we just had to get the mods involved. Since my daughter's lack of communication, they said that everyone was happy and they would keep things the way they are. But my daughter stated in pet's names millions of times she wasn't happy and wanted to trade back, but the mods ignored this and said they could do nothing and coppas shouldn't be trading or entering auctions. That day she lost a 6th tier advent list pet and a very rare. She is still upset and that happened in Dec 2014.

I support coppas with all my heart and I will color this in. Great idea! Thank you so much for the awareness!

funny thing about my username: i was late to change it back from a holiday theme so everyone started calling me "jingle" or "bell." then it just stuck as a nickname and everyone knows me by it, so i kept it. c:

    to do :
    - finish khim breedings
    - find shans, tbd, fila, poe, and nera a mate
    - make a space for poe and shans in my breeding center
    - make all my adoptable characters stables

Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear that ma'am, I do hope your daughter gets another pet like that again
And upon the other subject matter it sounds ludicrous, and proves how unfairly COPPA'd players may be treated

This is great. I know for a fact that being coppa is terrible (since I am one) but I know that sometimes, children are even smarter than adults. And a lot of people don't realize that. So GO COPPAS! Being a Coppa makes this website a bit harder to use, since you have so many restrictions. So yeah, thank you for supporting us! :D

I am a coppa, and I hate that we're treated like we don't know anything at all, we don't know our trade smarts, we have bad art... Why did this start in the first place? No coppa deserves to be treated like this

proof:
every time we make a post, nobody answers
when we make art nobody views it and nobody clicks the like button
nobody accepts our trades even if it is fair, just because we're coppa ? that's messed up
and when people respond to us, it's usually really mean or bad, in a way

but then there are the registered users that responded on this forum post that make me feel better, i feel loved , but not a lot cause i've seen people be rude to coppas, we're people to!!!!! so stop treating us like this , how would you feel if someone did this to you? not very good, right? so don't it hurts other coppa's feelings. :(
