is it possible to make a GIF transparent?

Hai Ken! Yeh, it's possible, and you can find them by google searching "Transparent gif," But I'm not sure how to make one

im trying to make a gif transparent i tried OIE but it
didnt work >.<

You can do this in Photoshop and I believe Chrome's tutorial at the front shows you how to do it as well, depending on what it is you are looking to do.
I am not sure if there is another way.

the tutorial chrome has is about overlaying
a gif not making it transparent or if it is
i shall read it 100 times
