The Valentines Day DCH Event has now started!
the first adopt is up on the main page and there are more to come - and, to celebrate, I'm going to be running a stream in around half an hour. Stay tuned for the link!

So, I have been listening to all of your suggestions and input, and try my very best to put them on board! You may notice a few changes starting from now:

1) Not an ongoing change, but I am transferring over designs on the very old and dated lines onto the new ones - you will see these popping up over the next few days.
2) By popular demand, we currently have no background. You may (from adopts created now on unless you specifically ask the artist of your DCH) get a transparent version of your adoptable by right clicking on the image, "Copy Image Location". Paste what you have copied into the [IMG] tags, and you will have something that looks like this:

You want to change format=auto into format=png. After that, your image will no longer display a white background, and will instead look like this:

You can even change the size from large to either medium or small if you wish.
3) There aren't any more changes as far as I can remember... but if you have suggestions I would love to hear them! Feel free to PM me or (if I am too scary or whatever) one of the other DCH staff members :)

Oh! And there is another poll up, which I and the other artists will definitely be looking to for some inspiration sometime perhaps. So if you have something you really want to see, go and select a couple options - who knows, your dream DCH might just come along one day because of it :D

Also a couple notices:
We have an ongoing Artist Competition, where I will be selecting Guest Artists to be a part of the team every 2-3 weeks, with the chance at a permanent position after that. If you are interested in applying, submit a couple designs! I really enjoy looking at what people create :)
Also, the Dingo Creek Horse Show will close entries in just under a week! If you were keen on entering you should do so shortly, or if you have already applied be sure to finish off your entries! There are some awesome prizes up for grabs, but only if more people enter before Sunday February 22nd :3

Denali is a very beautiful DCH, you're so lucky c;

There isn't currently a stream going, but keep an eye out! We're trying different times to see which is the best for all of our different time zones, so there should be one up fairly regularly.
Whenever I run one, I try and find an obnoxious my little pony gif to post (because it's easy to miss a link, but mostly because it's fun :P), and Bella. usually runs one using the group Picarto channel, so you can always check back there to see if you missed one.

Denali is naturally curious, so she observes from afar for a little bit before checking whatever it is up close. With new DCHs, she would walk up to them almost immediately (unless she sees a really good reason not to).

How does your DCH(s) react to new things - new surroundings, new food, new DCHs?

Nefertiti is really cautious of new things. She'll always tell the others to be careful and not to go straight in to a trap.
Drew, her son, seems to do just that. Well, not traps. But he's a curios fella and loves new things. Sometimes this will get him in trouble though.
His father, Voodoo, thinks hes free to do whatever he wants. "Come on Neferi, he's an adult. You have got to let go."
But Voodoo himself thinks new things are just alright. He likes to stay in one place though, so moving him to another pasture or getting him on a transport isn't very easy, nor is it a good idea.
Just like Drew, Lilla Q is curious and likes to experience new things. She isn't the most social of DCH's though, and doesn't think of other DCH's company as essential to her life. She'd rather explore the world on her own, or sometimes in the company of Drew.
Egon, the new addition to the stables. He has adapted well to his new home and care, and seems happy with life. He hasn't really been with the other DCH's much, due to being rather shy. But they'd love to accept him in to the herd, once he feels comfortable with it.

Zadie... well, she doesn't cope well with change. At all. She's so fragile in her own lil world that a slight change to her feed, even, throws her right out of balance. It took her -months- to be okay with Almond coming up to her and saying hello.
Almond, at the other end of the spectrum, is your typical, happy-go-lucky, uncomplicated horse. She'd bend easily around the change, or go and introduce herself to it, whatever it may be ^^

Leafy don't actually care if its new DCHs, things or places, if it don't seem like they will attack him and he have something to eat and a place to just be, why should he worry?

He is very down to earth and don't see any reason to worry over things, if he can't do anything it's just unnecessary because it wont do any difference.
