Melody got out of her shelter and realized most everybody had already been up for probably a good while.

Genna walked over to the shore and sat on the sand while the water came up to wet her feet and put her head on her knees and her arms around herself.

Ken woke up with a sharp pain on his back, as if it was on fire. He pried his eyes open and jumped to his feet, looking around at the bizzare island setting. Looking around, he still felt the fire-like sensation on his back. He took his shirt off quickly, only to see it was soaked in darkj red blood. He took a step back, surprised.
